"Content is the King". I believe it is true. As long as you are making informative content with good quality, your career graph on content creation will always go in the upward direction.
1. Tell us about your background and journey.
I was born and brought up in a town named Sullurpet, a place where Sriharikota (ISRO) is located. I went to a normal school and I am the kind of guy who always likes exploring new things and I hate sitting hours for academics. I topped my 10th (SSC) and pursued my 11th and 12th in the same town. I developed a passion for Programming and Technology education. With the mindset that I have towards academics, I am unable to crack JEE which made me choose a local Engineering College.
I joined the Computer Science stream in my Engineering. It is where I feel my real growth started. I continue following my passion for learning new things apart from my academics. During my college days, I am very much upset with academics and Engineering Education. I don't feel it is useful to match the industry needs. I explored everything on my own and learned various technologies, Programming stuff and build many real-time projects. I developed few important skills like Networking, Public Speaking etc., which helped me a lot.
I won many rewards on various State and National level events which increased my confidence to the other level.
2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you start?
The idea of starting a YouTube channel came during my second year of Engineering where I felt not everyone is getting real-time knowledge through Academics. Initially, I thought of spreading awareness and sharing my knowledge on current industry trends in my network.
Later, it became my passion and I never care about views and subscribers from that time.
3. Is vlogging and YouTube content creation a financially sustainable career?
There is a saying that "Content is the King". I believe it is true. As long as you are making informative content with good quality, your career graph on content creation will always go in the upward direction.
With the Creator economy taking it's shape and advertising through Creators gaining it's popularity, Content Creation is promising and it is surely a financially sustainable career.
4. Who is your favourite creator and why?
There is no specific creator in my favourite list. But yes there are many creators like Gary Vee, whom I regularly follow and I even learnt many things from Creators with no or less popularity because I believe there is something from everyone that we can learn if we utilise properly.
5. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?
Most of my content comes from my Personal experiences, Struggles faced in my career, the steps that I took to become successful in something, my failures and the things I know well.
I believe Authenticity is the key factor to become a successful content creator in the long run.
6. What does your typical day look like?
I always like being busy and productive. I create different forms of content every day including text, image and video content and it is common for people in my network to see my content every single day.
Apart from Content Creation, I am also into Freelancing and a Full-time Job. So, my day involves a lot of creativity, challenges and satisfaction at the end of the day.
7. Which is your favourite book and why?
I mostly prefer listening to podcasts over reading books. But I do read some books in my free time. One such book is "four hour work week" by Tim Ferriss which has the clear point on the difference between mindsets of deferrers (old rich) and the newly rich.
8. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?
To become successful as a Content Creator, you should love what you do. If you start thinking about money from day one, you will end up stopping your Content Creation journey. If you start loving your content then ultimately financials will follow you.
Every content creator should also follow two key aspects that will help in the long run: Consistency and Authenticity.
I love to see new content creators being consistent and it shows promising careers to aspiring creators.
