Tell us more about your company and your journey.


Mysa Consultation is formed with the sole purpose to help people feel good about themselves and to help them look their best, feel confident and develop the necessary people skills to succeed in life. I believe that every person on this planet should realise their full potential and we help them achieve that in many ways. 

Before starting Mysa Consultation, I was running handmade gifts and card business. But I soon realised it was not my true calling. Therefore, I decided to switch and pursue image consulting. So far my journey has been great and I love what I do.



How did you come up with this idea and go about executing it?


One day, my mother asked me to find someone that can help her with a makeover. Then I researched on the same and I came across Image consultants. Image consulting was something new to me at that time. So, I read a lot about it and I was fascinated. I realised that it is a career path that will satisfy both my inner creative bug and my passion to help people. 

That day onwards, I started acquiring skills and knowledge to become the best at it. Having done that, I founded Mysa Consultation. And guess what; my mother was my first client. In this entire process, I realised that it is more than just elevating people’s outer appearance. But, how it makes them feel confident and leads to their personal growth. 

My clients even tell me that after their sessions, their self-esteem increases, they are able to perform better and also people around them start recognizing and appreciating them.



What has been your biggest challenge that you faced and how did you overcome that?

The biggest challenge has been, it to be an unconventional career path. But I knew that there are a lot of people in this world that need what I offer through Mysa Consultation. 

So, I never stopped. Also, my client’s happiness and growth is what makes me truly happy and encourages me to keep going.



What do you think are the most important qualities of a successful entrepreneur?

I think that the utmost important quality for being a successful entrepreneur is to be willing to do everything that is important for the success of your business. Also, I firmly believe and preach that developing a growth and success mindset helps in many ways to be successful.



What are some of the most important factors for running a successful business?

To run a successful business, keep yourself educated and invested in the industry you are in. Have your strategies and planning in place. One thing that every entrepreneur must do and I tell all my Personal Branding clients is to create a USP, which is to recognize that unique quality that makes you or your services different from others.



What are your tips for the first time and aspiring entrepreneurs?


My advice to all aspiring entrepreneurs will be to believe in yourself and take the leap. Nothing is impossible if you are willing to work for it with all your heart and dedication. Getting started is the first step and you don’t have to be perfect. Just do it consistently and learn along the way.



How can one overcome a hurdle of lack of funds when starting up?


I can understand it can be difficult to fund the business when starting up. However, I feel that if you are willing enough to do it, you will always find a way. I have known and seen a lot of people who start their journey alongside doing a 9-5 job just to fund their start-ups. 

Also, a key here will be to put the available funds to their best use. Always calculate the ROI and benefit to the business before spending even a dime.
