1. Tell us about your background and journey.
My first passion of modeling afforded me this incredible opportunity to travel and make friends all over the world.
I was inspired by the way nice manners made me feel, as well as the close relationships they created. The career I’ve created as an etiquette influencer came about from friends asking me questions about etiquette, whether it was how to eat oysters while still looking chic, or how to properly hold a wine glass in a feminine way.
They’d ask me to teach them. More deeply and importantly, I think, they’d also ask about building relationships and friendships. Because that’s what manners are all about, to me, the creation of connection.
2. How did you come up with this idea and go about executing it?
During the pandemic, when we were all learning about the true importance of human connection, I decided to create a course to guide women and girls in the areas of social etiquette. That the course led me to write my book 101 Tips for Social Grace , which is a pocket reminder of the rules for great manners.
My vision for myself in the future is the modern-day Emily Post, which means people can expect more books, which I hope will touch lives all over the world, helping women find their passion and be the best version of themselves. My hope for myself and The women I reach are deeply happy.
3. Tell us more about Pink Print Protocol.
At Pink Print Protocol we strive to achieve nothing less than perfect manners. Having manners isn’t about being a perfect person, instead it’s about using the skills learned to navigate through life with grace. By instilling values based on kindness and consideration for yourself and others.
At PPP students will learn to feel at ease in social environments with a boost in self esteem. As I always say “Good manners will open the doors that the best education can not. ” Good manners are impressive, attractive and increasingly hard to find. Politeness brings rewards such as respect, praise, gratitude, gifts, trust and freedom.
At PPP we focus on good manners rather than pointing out bad habits. Every student is at a different life point and all skills can be mastered over time . Being accountable is imperative.
4. What has been your biggest challenge that you faced and how did you overcome that?
My biggest challenge while creating Pink Print Protocol and writing my book has been keeping myself accountable and ensuring I reach my personal goals. I overcame this by making a list of long term and short term goals and putting exact time stamps on them. Executing my plans and in a timely manner helped me be accountable to myself.
5. What do you think are the most important qualities of a successful entrepreneur?
I base success on the five P’s: passion, patience, persistence, perseverance, and positivity. These are values and skills that will get you ahead in every aspect of life. Personally, I feel successful when I’m helping others accomplish their goals and achieve success.
6. What are some of the most important factors for running a successful business?
Increasingly, manners will help people stand out in this world, and they will open doors. An investment in improving your manners will bring a return of respect, praise, gratitude, trust, and freedom. Plus, it helps avoid negative experiences. If you learn how to handle something as simple as someone bumping your cart in the grocery store with grace, you can avoid the petty arguments of life and just enjoy it.
7. What are your tips for first time and aspiring entrepreneurs?
One of my favorite quotes is, “A goal not properly planned is just a wish.” So the best thing to do is to understand that you’re growing up from a girl who wishes to a woman who plans, and that your manners are part of what’s going to get you to your goals.
The first thing to do is write down your goals, both short-term and long-term. Then just start executing, which means carrying out the plan, even if you feel like you’re unsure of what you’re doing. Find a mentor, someone doing what you want to do, and email them to ask if they have any advice on getting started. Commit to reading business books as a practice.
Find communities of people on the internet with the same interests and join in, then ask for help when you need it. One of the most important lessons to remember is that business is about relationships, and impressive manners build deep relationships.
8. How can one overcome a hurdle of lack of funds when starting up?
If manners are about being kind to others, self-care is about being Be kind to yourself. When you experience stress, it’s a time to really take care of yourself. Walk away from whatever is stressing you out for a moment to recollect. Clear your mind, then come back to the issue. A level head will help you find solutions for your issues, whether it’s by reaching out for help, looking for more resources, or talking your way through the problem with diplomacy.
9. Who is your inspiration?
I am strengthened every day by my faith. I also find the strength to work by envisioning the best version of myself and striving to become her. I consider my ambition a kind of strength. And I find power in doing what I do for everyone who’s rooting for me and depending on me.
10. Which is your favourite book and why?
My favorite book right now is 101 Tips for Social Grace . It's a very easy read , only about 30 minutes for the whole book . It really just reminds me to be my best self everyday and show kindness and consideration to others and myself .
