1. Tell us about your upbringing and journey?
I am born & raised in Delhi, I was brought up in a family with lots of love and taught only hard work will get you anywhere.
2. What is your favourite part of working as an artist as a DJ?
I love every moment of it, I love reading the crowd and creating the right atmosphere, lift their spirits, make people dance to my tunes and thus make them happy. DJing for me is a truly unique feeling, I get ‘zoned out’ in a way, but it is worth it in the end.
3. Was your parents supportive when you decide to become a DJ?
My mom has always been supportive, & Now I am lucky as my life partner my husband is also very supportive.
They have given me the confidence of doing anything that I can dream of, and needless to say, my husband is the one providing me with that boost. You don’t need anything else in your life if you have got your mother’s well-wishes and your life partner’s.
4. What led you to become a fashion influencer despite you were already famous for DJ'ing?
I would say I always had this Fashion sense in me, I had been doing it for very long, Just documenting my outfits, But frankly speaking the Lockdown in my country gave me the chance to showcase my talent on social media lol as clubs were closed and I had a lot of free time to utilize it in.
5. How does it feel to be awarded as India's leading female DJ?
I feel good Good but I still think I have a long way to go & still have to achieve many things of course it will take time.
6. What advice would you like to give to the people who want to make their career their profession?
I would say just follow your heart. And whatever you choose make sure it makes you happy & do what you love, keep working hard, do not get phased by rejection and be open to criticism.
7. Who is your idol and is there any instance when you met your favourite artist?
Well, I won't say there’s a single idol but I am inspired by many artists, mostly the international ones, the DJs & music producers but unfortunately, I haven’t got the chance to meet them all yet !!
Although I have got a chance a few times to play with some of the artists I have always followed like Sean Tyas, paul Thomas & Sasha.
I had an amazing time sharing the stage with them, & I learnt things from them, mainly how to be humble with your junior artists.
8. Which is your favourite book and why?
I don't read books.
