Chandra Choodeshwarar Hill Temple
If you visit Hosur, you must go to the famed Chandra Choodeshwarar hill temple, also known as Malai Kovil, which was built between 1218 and 1296 AD. From this vantage point, the entire town of Hosur may be seen.
Don't forget to buy prasad from a small shop within the temple grounds before leaving the Malai Kovil. The prasad is usually boiling tamarind rice and sweet khichdi, both of which are so delicious that you'll want to lick your fingers.
A little settlement called Therpettai sits at the base of this hill. The entire hamlet lights up and celebrates the Chariot Festival during the ‘Car Festival' in the months of March-April when all of the deities from the Chandra Choodeshwar Temple are brought out in a procession on a chariot.

The aroma of freshly baked samosas filling the air around you when you walk into the Hosur bus station is the first thing that catches your attention.
