I come from a background totally different from what I am right now as my dad has a government job, my mom is a housewife and both my sisters are teachers. I was an average student and I was pursuing engineering but I always have an interest and I always kept actively participating in various sports and dramatics in both school and college. In college, I also participated in a ramp walk and won. I was motivated and I continued in this field.
2. Did you ever think or dream of being an actor?
If I am being honest, I would say I never really thought of becoming an actor or taking acting as a profession. I just always enjoyed doing drama and acting in school. Then after school, I kept it going in college also and then I started doing YouTube videos which got me more into acting.
I think not just acting but if you want to pursue anything as your career then you must go for it and pay focus towards it. And about confidence, it comes with time and experience. I don’t believe one can have full confidence from starting.
I personally don’t believe in alternatives or second options. I have a passion for something so I do it. I love acting so I am building my career in this field. I don’t know when I will do it but till the time, I am doing it I will try to do my best.
And I was a person who always did what brings me joy without thinking or stressing much about the future and I won’t say I was an excellent actor but I have fun learning more and more about acting and improving my skill set. And I am still learning every day while enjoying what I do.
I would just conclude by saying that I love acting and it's like passion so I am pursuing it and I still don’t have big dreams, I just want to give my 100% and do my best.
3. How can one approach their career and have the confidence and belief to become an actor?
Taking my example, in beginning even I used to hesitate in telling someone even in my family about my acting career as they never saw me pursuing acting as a career but slowly as I gain knowledge and experience, I also gain confidence. Confidence boosts up with patience and skills.
So, my advice to fellow aspirants who want to become an actor would be to learn from the journey from everyone and everything. You will gain confidence with every step for sure. Just make sure your confidence never turns into overconfidence keep on learning.
4. If not this, what would you be doing?
And as I said I do what brings me joy, and acting along with blogging and travelling really makes me happy so I am doing it without thinking much about the future.
My advice will be that if you had made up your mind then just do it with full dedication and focus. It is true that you will face difficulties on the journey and yes you might not know how to proceed like even I didn’t know much about this field when I started but you won’t know how to deal with them until you actually start your journey.
5. For a complete outsider with inroads, what advice would you like to give?
So, start with your journey and you will see many difficulties with getting solved on their own, you just need to stay focused. Never give up and don’t listen to what others say about you and your passion as if you did what you want to do with your heart then soon the chatter will turn into applause.
I don’t believe I have achieved big milestones or have done something remarkable yet that I can say I have gained success. I am just going on with my journey with faith that if I work hard and stay focused, I will definitely achieve success one day and make everyone proud.
To be honest I have read tons of books during my engineering so I am not that much into reading now. But I do like watching movies and web series and see how acting and direction is done.
6. What is your mantra of success?
7. Which is your favourite book and why?
Some of my favourite shows are walking dead, peaky blinders, death note and family man etc. and the movie would Rang De Basanti, Ranjhana, Inception, Snatch and Taxi driver etc.
