Tell us about your life’s story, background & journey.


I am a second generation entrepreneur and have been working for the company for the past 8 years. God has been very kind to me and I am one of the lucky ones who has had the luxury of living life my own way. Parents and friends have been super supportive and I am a product of their love and my decisions.

I am an Engineer (Computers) and did my Post Graduation in Family Business Management. I am also coached by Mr. Rahul Jain, one of the famous Businesses Coaches in our country.

How did you start your career & what led you to reach the highest echelons?


Right from the first day, I made a choice to join my father and help him in business. The intention was to give him the support and give him the life he deserves because he had worked crazily and dedicated his life to work for our better future.

Within 2 years, we launched the IPO of our company and we’re now listed in the main board of the Bombay Stock Exchange.

It wasn't easy in the first year, where I was bestowed with great responsibilities and it took some time for me to understand that “Great Power comes with Great Responsibility”. From that day, I started taking each day at a time, to learn, unlearn and grow. I’ve been blessed with a great team, who have relentlessly worked for the common goal (the company) and accepted me for who I am and what I bring to the table.

What are some of the challenges that you face in your job & how can tech solve these problems?

The biggest challenge is alignment of the team towards the common goal and that the employees start taking accountability of their actions. Basically, the idea is to make them think like they own the company and any loss is their loss or any win is their win.

Another challenge was to map the efforts of each employee to the success of the company irrespective of their job profile.

In 2020, we started a new journey in the company where we started communicating our expectations, beliefs, and slowly, everyone was aligned to the philosophy of the company.

This was possible due to:

• Integrated tech

What does your typical day look like & how do you define success?

Well, I am an early riser so my day starts at 4-4:30 and all the thinking / brainstorming happens till 7:30-8. Once that's done, I either go to the office or for meetings, depending on the task at hand.

I work on fixed KPI’s so a lot of focus is on actual scoring of each team member and their scores, along with my deliverables are my definition of success. The KPI’s of each team member is directly related to the growth of the company.


What do you think is the future of banking in the era of API's?

The API based banking infrastructure is the most cohesive model where separate modules are built using the same datasets thus making it more agile and efficient.
Since the systems are developed using API’s, local as well as global level security standards are being implemented which is helpful in accountability.

How do you think API banking & fintech infrastructure can enable scale?

With AI and blockchain technology, the banking infrastructure is set to undergo a monumental change, something which was required for the betterment of banking tech.

FinTech companies basically take advantage of the banking API’s and leverage AI to give great customer experience, something which was missing in the core banking structure. It has also helped the banks to focus on their core business and for any value added services, the banks, in reverse model, take advantage of the platforms provided by the FinTech companies.

Once implemented, the power of API’s, coupled with blockchain technology and AI, will make the entire system scalable and secure.


Which is your favourite book & why?

Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, the book is about private thoughts of the then world’s most powerful man, giving advice to himself on how to make good on the responsibilities and obligations of his position. Almost every paragraph in the book is a great takeaway in itself.
