Tanya Arora - Just a Random Thought Popped in My Mind in the Office and Next, We Were Then Brainstorming on the Page Name (Food, Fashion and Lifestyle Blogger from India)

Food has to be my all-time favourite genre. You just need to read my food reviews and I bet you won't be able to stop yourself from praising me. People say my reviews seem so personal as if a friend is narrating the same in real-time. 

Tell us about your upbringing, background and journey.

I belong to a middle-class family with Kanpur as my hometown. Professionally I am a Chartered Accountant. My life has always been full of ups and downs just like every other person but theek hai seh lenge thoda after all this is life only. 

I met with an accident this year and got my right hand so badly hurt that a  major surgery had to be performed for the same. Still dealing with it (Itna bhi nahi sehna tha).

When did you start blogging?

I started the Instagram page in Jan 2019. I was not inspired by anyone else. Just a random thought popped in my mind in the office and next, we were brainstorming on the page name. I even started a youtube channel recently. I am quite close to 100 subscribers. 

What type of content do you enjoy creating more - lifestyle, food or travel related?

What have been the biggest challenges you have faced in this industry?

These days blogging is way too common. Every other person is creating insta pages about food blogging. I think the Instagram algorithm is one of the biggest challenges. Worthy content doesn't get enough reach whereas cringe and stupid content is getting viral.

Also barter collaboration is no less than a challenge. Even big brands prefer barter instead of paid ones. To be honest I am really tired of these kinds of collaborations. I have a hell lots of skincare stuff at my place which I got for barter collab and they are not even being used. It is quite hard to get paid collaborations for nano influencers.

What does your typical day look like?

As I mentioned, I am a Chartered Accountant, my day is full of finance-related office work, also not to forget I am currently taking physiotherapy sessions. I create content for my social media handles on Sundays only.

Which is your favourite dessert & what makes you appreciate it?

No doubt Gulab Jamun, that too homemade. The way it melts in the mouth, that feeling is divine. Also, FYI I am not a sweet tooth person.

Which is your favourite movie/show?

I generally don't repeat any movie or show so whichever I like can be said as a favourite. But currently, I am watching Suits and I am totally loving it. (I know I am way too late for watching suits but der aaye durust aaye.)
