It's about setting priorities as per the situation and time. In different phases of our life we have different priorities. We must be mindful and should not develop bad stress for ourselves.


 1.Tell me about your background and journey.

I am an International Level Master Coach and trainer. I am a Phd from IIT Bombay and became a Cognitive Scientist. I was raised in a very small town called Gaya which is in Bihar. As a single child I have lived a great amount of time observing and reading books.


My curiosity to study the human mind and it's psyche increased post my MBA. I am based in Mumbai, married to a Merchant Navy Guy and we have a lovely and naughty daughter. 


2. What led you to take up this career path?


I am in the business of Building and Sustaining People's Conviction. Every human is a masterpiece and the process of becoming one is just amazing.


 The results are outstanding depending upon their mentoring and coaching. The whole reason for me being in this coaching industry is to help, serve and lead powerful individuals and let them achieve their desires and goals.


3. What are some common myths in society about physcology?


People today also feel that it's a mental disease related topic. Sadly, people can't put their faith in something which can't be seen, but experienced or absorbed i.e feelings and thoughts. 


Society in general is still at an early stage in being receptive to mental wellbeing or say mind-spa. Individuals take pride in saying that they are self made but the fact is that people do take support - some get it from the family and a few get it from the outside. 


4. How can people practice mindfulness?


Meditation, reading, disengaging from negative people, listening to devotional songs, and practicing coaching tools helps in practising mindfulness.


5. What are your tips to people who want to practice this profession?


Anybody can become a coach. They should go for a 1 year long coach training program and must take personal coaching first. To experience the essence of coaching. They would require a detailed understanding of the coaching industry and how it functions.


 My company Magnificent U offers 3 months Internship for those who want to take part time coaching and 1 year internationally certified coaching to those who want to do full-time coaching.


6. Is work balance a myth or reality according to you?


Work Life balance is a myth. It's about setting priorities as per the situation and time. In different phases of our life we have different priorities. We must be mindful and should not develop bad stress for ourselves. 


7. According to you, how can one manage stress?


Good stress is good for us - it keeps us healthy, motivated and on track. Bad stress makes us feel negative and lethargic. To have good stress - we must do mind mapping, planning and priority setting. Saying no to distractions and negativity is also very important. 


8. What is your favorite book and why?


Currently I am reading Everything is spiritual by Rob Bell- he connects science and spirituality very well through this book.
