1. Tell us more about your background and journey.
I am an HR by profession with 16 + years of progressive experience in managing multiple facets of Human Resources spectrum. I have worked extensively in Consulting and Banking Industries.
I have always believed in the “Power of Positivity, Consistency, and Creativity”. A firm believer that “Change is the only constant and we have to keep evolving ourselves. No matter how slow you progress, you are still way ahead of everyone who isn’t trying.
I have always been fascinated with colors and this trait reflects loudly in various elements of my life including my home décor, my choice of fashion, accessories etc. Colors define me in a very holistic way. I was active in school days in all creative pursuits but never pursued anything professionally. Lockdown gave me an opportunity to reflect upon a few things which I had missed in my life. Art work was the instant answer as it is not only therapeutic but it also gave me a free pass to indulge my soul.
Now I am a founder of “Lefargen Arts”, made more that 200 Paintings, have Clients from all side of the world.
I wanted to become Artist since I was 8 year old. I was always an Art student. However, post my MBA I joined corporate job. I am an HR professional with a buried ambition. Over a period of time, I decided to fulfil my true calling and I decided to spend some real time on my dreams and nurturing the Artist in me. I am humbled with all the love I am getting because of my ART and the person I am becoming because of this experience. I hope through my ART I can reach and connect with a wider audience and make their lives colourful.
It depends on what Vision one has for ART. There are few who wants to do commercially, few for Love and Passion, and few to nurture their soul. Anything can become financially stable with right set of goals.
Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky, he is the pioneer of abstract art and he painted some of the earliest works in the genre including what is known as the First Abstract Watercolour. I like the way he has depicted the Music, being abstract in nature, in his art and he named some of his spontaneous works as “improvisations” and elaborate ones as “compositions”.
Art in itself is a symbol of inspiration, hope and positivity. You can stare at the canvas and imagine infinite possibilities of hope and happiness. Just like music strikes a chord with the soul, Art is the bridge of harmony between you and your dreams. Going deeper, it’s a mystical meditation full of magic. People take pills to heal, I prefer to pick up the brushes instead.
No one is born with skills, perhaps we develop instincts on what we want to convey and communicate. ART is a way of expression. I would urge everyone to unlock your creative side. Don’t worry about the final outcome, just begin and you will evolve in your thoughts, your outlook and your creation on the canvas. This is exactly why a piece of ART is very difficult to recreate. Everyone is unique and nothing in the world should hold us from sharing our unique story with the world.
There are many, but “Go Kiss the World”, will be one of the favorites. There are numbers of things this book teaches us. “It is not what you create for yourself, it is what you leave behind that defines success”.
