 1. Tell us about your background and journey.

My story is similar to a small town boy having big dreams in his eyes fighting against odds.I was born and brought up in a small town Patna, Bihar.I was always inclined in all extra curricular activities like Debate, Drama, Dance, Singing, Stand up mimicry acts and sports in school apart from studies.

I completed my graduation in Economics and then moved to Nagpur, Maharashtra for MBA. After completing my MBA I shifted to Mumbai and started my career in corporate sector. I always wanted to be in creative field but life had other plans so I started with sales and marketing job.

Then I worked for 11 years and realized call to full fill my passion of Acting Thereafter, I quit my corporate job and went to study acting from Barry John Acting Studio and workshop of Ekjute theatre group.

That’s when I started doing theatre with Ekjute in late 2013. And soon in early 2014  I started my stint in TV industry as Actor. My Bollywood debut happened with my debut film Adrishya (2018). I am waiting for my next upcoming film Hotel Murder Case.(2022) Release.

2. Did you ever think or dream of becoming an actor?

As I said earlier right from my school days and college days I was always very active in dramatics. I used to participate in dramas at that level. But I always was sure of education and training of craft. So before following my passion I went to educate myself professionally of my craft.

In our country Cinema and cricket has such a huge impact in our lives that who doesn’t want be an actor in some or the other phase in life. Let me tell you I was not fascinated by glamour, money and fame but the serious craft.

I was always attracted towards content cinema or in those days it was art films you call it now parallel cinema. I always wanted to be actor but due to my personal responsibilities of family I started with my corporate job and took acting as my profession late in life.

3. How can one approach their career and have confidence and belief to become an actor?

Acting I believe can't be like feeding a fixed solution in your mouth. You must have passion and confidence. You need to learn the ART and work religiously regularly on your craft. Education is a must.

It’s not that if you are not good at anything in life or you don't have that spark you become actor .It’s similar to becoming any other professional by learning the tricks of business and work on it. You must read and know what’s there in history, literature, Culture, socio and political scenario of the society. This is a serious profession.

Let me tell you before you go gaga in shines of Glamour and fame of this profession. This is a uncertain sector and loads of ups and down. So you have to be tough mentally and physically. Job of an actor is not easy. It’s emotional, Physical and mental.

4. Provide an example of when you were persistent in the face of obstacles.

I started late in life in case of acting profession. If I talk about my journey. I Started doing small roles in Theatre following Tv, Short Films , Web series ,Corporate films and Films. My 2 films never released in starting. I did numerous cameos in Tv series.

But I got some good opportunities in that scenario as well. I just accept whatever opportunity comes my way. I got my debut as Character role in Adrishya a bollywood movie released in 2018 after a struggle of 5 years. I have done 125+ Crime Shows In T.V and many daily soaps.

5.For a complete outsider with inroads, what advice would you like to give?

Whether you are outsider or insider you must not judge yourself. Situation around you could be different. Your life priorities, your financial and personal condition could be different. Judge your talent and potential.

If you are still passionate get details of the segment. You can get all information on YouTube and google. Talk to mentors if you find someone. Education is must for everyone in every sector. So one must educate yourself and keep learning.

Actor is never perfect he or she keeps evolving and learning through the life span.

6.What was the most rewarding project you have worked on?

I can't say most rewarding but I like and love few works I have done. For that I had a good fame and appreciation in my show BEYHAD as a tough Cop.My other Character Inspector Duryodhan Singh in Tv series HUM HAI Na.

My Characters in Tv serial Crime Patrol. My Character Cricketer Sinha in web series INSIDE EDGE. My Character Inspector Godhboley in Bollywood debut Movie ADRISHYA are few of them.

7.In terms of lyrics, what is your favorite song and what makes it so good?

Again I can't name one but few..I will try to do justice for all.

"Main Zindagi ka saath nibhata chala gaya" From Film HUM DONO by Sahir Ludhiannvi.

"Bawra Mann" in movie HAZARON KHWAISHEIN AISI. By Swanand Kirkire

"Tu KIsi Rel Si Guzarti Hai"from movie MASAN by Varun Grover.

"Monta Re" in movie LOOTERE by Amitabh BHattacharya.

"Behti Hawa sa tha woh" in movie THREE IDIOTS. By Swanand Kirkire, and few more.. I love the emotions and words used to express. It’s beautifully written and composed and of course sung.

8.What do you feel is missing in entertainment today?

Cinema has a history of 100 years. We have been watching films from silent era to black and white to east man colour and now dolby sound with VFX and all.

We produce highest number of films-regional and hindi mainstream. But still I feel we are obsessed with star-studded and glossy image with big bang and pretty faces, good location, Good sceneries . we are obsessed. with fixed image and fantasy .

We must produce more realistic films. yes now things are changing with evolve of OTT and viewers changing taste. But still a long way to go. New talents should be celebrated.
