About the Podcast

The podcast ‘Banter’ falls in the genre of comedy where Youtubers Sapnap and Karl Jacobs invite other famous Youtubers and Internet personalities to interview them about their lives on and off the Internet, their plans for future content, stories from behind the scenes of the content that they have already put out and much more.

In every episode, Karl and Sapnap both ask the guests a question each right as they are about to bring the episode to a close. Karl’s question is, “Which is your favorite cartoon?” because he believes that there is no one out there who has never watched a single cartoon in their life, and also because he is an avid cartoon lover himself.

On the other hand, Sapnap always asks the guests if they have a ‘ghost story’ to share with the audience. Karl always jests that Sapnap’s question is the worse question out of the two as not everyone would have a ghost story to recount! Some of the guests that have been invited onto the podcast till now include Quackity, Ludwig, Rainbow, Technoblade, Tommyinnit, and GeorgeNotFound.

Personal Verdict

Banter is the perfect podcast to listen to when one wants to have a laugh and de-stress from their day. Karl and Sapnap do a good job of keeping their audience engaged and making every episode so different while being based on fundamentally the same concept. They cover a variety of topics ranging from current Internet trends, memes, gameplay, Youtube, cartoons, ghosts and so much more.

Banter allows one to peek into the lives of some of their favorite Internet content creators through its medium and get to know them a little bit better. The selling point of the podcast is the way it maintains such a light and easy tone throughout, giving the audience something to laugh about every few seconds.

It leaves one feeling much more relaxed, and it is great for their specific fandoms to see their content creators engage with their friends and have some casual fun.

The Bottom Line

All in all, Banter is the go-to podcast if you want something to unwire the tension from your muscles and tickle your laughter bone. The easy-flowing conversations between friends, the way they naturally jump from topic to topic, transitioning between humor and information, and then back to humor is a delight to listen to.

It does justice to the genre it falls into and the high rankings that it received in the United States and several other countries when it was released. Banter is something that listeners would return back to without a speck of hesitation or a second thought whenever a new episode comes out.
