10 Times Bollywood Gave Us Major Friendship Goals

Source- Man's world India

The film created in the industry is simply a larger-than-life portrayal of our everyday lives. These films whisk us away from the realm and transport us to a world where happily ever after is a reality. Bollywood has always been ahead of the game when it comes to portraying the actual world. Hindi films cover a wide range of emotions, including love, sadness, and the future. There's no doubt that Bollywood portrays friendship in the most beautiful way possible. We've compiled a list of the top 10 Bollywood films that are all about friendship.

1. 3 idiots

The film '3 Idiots,' directed by Rajkumar Hirani, depicts a strong kinship between three people who meet in college and create an unshakable friendship. Many young people, particularly those who attended engineering college, can still connect to it and the ups and downs that each character experiences. The film demonstrated what it means to have your friend's back, and how this friendship transcends class and bigotry. A fantastic video on friendship!

2. Dil Chahta Hai

Dil Chahata Hai, Farhan Akhtar's magnum masterpiece, ushered forth a new era in Bollywood. This new movement centered on depicting lighter parts of life on screen, with an underlying layer of human connections and psychology.

Dil Chahta Hai is a film about three college best buddies who, as a result of their desires and acts, take divergent courses in life. Amir Khan (Akash), Saif Ali Khan (Sameer), and Akshay Khanna (Siddharth) begin the film with a road journey to Goa before embarking on their respective future courses. The story is profoundly affecting; it depicts Akasha, Sid, and Sam's closeness and bond, as well as how they fade away as time passes. The film is excellent.

3. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

Farhan Ahktar follows up on his success with Dil Chahata Hai with ZNMD. Another Farhan Akhtar film, this time about a group of childhood buddies on a bachelor road trip around Spain. ZNMD is another masterpiece about the bonds of friendship and love amongst friends, starring Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, and Farhan Akhtar as Arjun, Kabir, and Imran, respectively.

The story is an emotional roller coaster with magnificent visuals from a road journey through Spain. It may not be as wonderful as Dil Chahata Hai, but its message is just as compelling, albeit in a different way. ZNMD's relationships and ideas are a little deeper and more intricate than the others.

4. Sholay

The first name that comes to mind when we think about Bollywood friendships is 'Jai-Veeru.' Not only did the film make history, but the lead characters, played by Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra, were symbolically significant as friends.

With their wonderful rapport and chemistry in the film, the 'Yeh Dosti...' couple became an example for the youth. Sometimes it feels like ‘Jai Veeru’ is the other name for friendship. In the movie, it is seen their bond is so deep that Jai(Amitabh Bacchan) gave up on his life to Veeru(Dharmendra).

5. Queen

Queen, starring Kangana Ranaut, is one of the most well-known films, telling the narrative of a woman who embarks on a journey to a strange place in search of herself. Throughout her journey, she meets a variety of people and forms great friendships. The audience was able to see one such bond between Ranaut and Lis Haydon's character.

6. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani,' directed by Ayan Mukherji and released in 2013, kept it real when it came to the good, the bad, and the ugly aspects of friendship as Kabir, Aditi, and Avi moved on with their lives after college. Kabir leaves the country to pursue his goal, while Avi continues to pursue his. The distance widens, yet the film accurately captures the hurt created between friends, demonstrating that no pain is greater than the bond, as the protagonists work through their problems and emerge stronger than before.

7. Rang De Basanti

Rang De Basanti is a daring attempt to highlight India's political situation by telling the story of a close group of friends. The film stars Amir Khan, Sharman Joshi, Kunal Kapoor, Soha Ali Khan, R Madhavan, Siddhart Narayan, and Atul Kulkarni and depicts the importance of friendship and what it means to lose one.

It exposes the defense ministry's unethical practices, with Madhavan's character dying in a plane crash while flying a MIG-21. The comparisons established between the characters' portrayals of freedom fighters for Sue's (Alice Patten) docu-drama in the film are striking and vivid.

8. Munna Bhai MBBS

Munna Bhai MBBS, the film that transformed Sanjay Dutt's on-screen image, is one of Bollywood's finest comedies. The funny timing is flawless throughout the film, and it's a fantastic comedy of mistakes. Munna and Circuit are unfinished without one another, and their on-screen friendship revolutionized the meaning of friendship and brotherhood. If you and your best pals are as insane as Munna and Circuit, you'll understand what it's like to have a friend who shares your craziness.

9. Hera Pheri

Hera Pheri is by far the funniest film on this list, thanks to Baburao Ganpat Rao Apte's superb humor and the comic rivalry between 'the permanently broke Raju' and 'the drowned-in-debt-Shyam/Ghanshyam.' The plot is driven forward by a phone directory error that shows Baburao's Star Garage's phone number as Star Fisheries and vice versa.

10. Janey Tu Ya Janey Na

Janey Tu Ya Janey Na, Imran Khan's Bollywood debut alongside Genelia D'souza, tells the story of two best friends, Aditi (Genelia) and Jai (Imran) (Imran). They've had a love-hate relationship since childhood and are almost inseparable. Aditi is devastated when Jai falls in love with a certain girl, but she tries to hide it by dating men for marriage. As the film progresses, it becomes clear that Jai is also secretly in love with Aditi, and the film leaves you smiling.
