Well, philosophically speaking, a right profession is the one which gives you happiness and satisfaction more than the stress. The right profession is the one which motivates you every day to do better. A profession you enjoy. A profession you are thankful for. A profession you don't want to change or you are happy where you are.
Now, practically speaking, a right profession is one where you feel satisfied and stable. You are happy with the work as well as earning because of course the money matters. A profession where you are learning more than working. A profession which provides more and more chances of development.
How to Choose the Right Profession?
Frankly speaking, you can never be in the right profession. Yeah, whatever you will do, you will not be satisfied with that. But still, if you want to figure out the right path for you, the only way is hit and trial.
Yes, do internships, do jobs, understand the job, understand your interest, understand yourself. And ultimately you will understand what you want and what you need.
If you want to be in the right career, you need to take the first step, which is learning. For every job, there are some requirements which are some skills that need to be possessed by the applicant. So, if you are in college, it is the right time you need to think about the skills you want to learn and start learning.

1. Coding and Programming
We all are aware how important computers and technology related to computers are important at a professional level. Every company looks for an employee who has at least basic coding skills. Web developing and App development are common skills they want their employees to pursue.
Hence, learning coding or programming languages is a positive point for your resume. You can go for any programming language which is in demand like python or C++ etc. There are many huge companies like Google and Instagram who hire applicants excelling in such skills.
2. Foreign Language
With most of the companies establishing themselves at global level, there is a need for employees who excel in some foreign language. Even though English is a common language for all, it can be a plus point for you, if you have a foreign language in your resume.
Having foreign language as a subject in high school is not enough. You need to have a specific course in that language and you should also be comfortable with having a conversation in that language with its native speakers.
3. Data Analysis and Statistics
Data analysis means to collect the information from the given set of data and interpreting it to form a conclusion. Well, it is a logical aptitude as everyone is not good enough to interpret a graph or a chart or any other statistics quickly.
But, companies need people who possess these skills for obvious reasons. Hence, it is a good idea if you are interested in learning data analysis and statistics at a professional level.
4. Social Media and Digital Marketing
Scrolling social media is not gonna benefit you in any way, rather if you invest a little time in learning what's known as social media and digital marketing, it's definitely gonna help you in finding your right profession.
Digital marketing and social media are two things which can not be separated. Marketing has different types but the importance digital marketing holds is not held by any other form of marketing. Many companies are hiring people having professional skills in digital marketing hence doing a course in it is not a bad idea.
5. Adaptability
It's not particularly a course but it is something we can specify as self- learning. Adaptability is a high-in-demand skill right now. Adaptability is the ability of a person to adapt to new people, working style and technology.
Sticking to the same thing, same technology, same personality makes a person monotonous. But companies look for employees who can be flexible and adapt to every working style.
Hence, it is good if you start focusing on your skill of adaptability, it's definitely gonna benefit you in future.
