Which of our favorite anime characters would be deserving of godly power? Lifting the legendary Mjolnir of Thor has long been associated with having a good heart, being a real hero, and is determined to defend others. Even while many anime characters fit these criteria, not all of them are strong enough to handle Mjolnir.
You must have the desire to destroy your opponents when necessary if you want to properly tap into Thor's powers. The powers of Thor will be bestowed upon a person if they can lift the hammer and meet all the prerequisites. Here are the ten heroes who would unquestionably be deserving of the hammer, keeping in mind all the requirements for an anime character to hold Mjolnir.
1. Goku (Dragon Ball)
Goku likely possesses the purest heart of any anime character that has ever existed. Goku has proven since the start of the series that he has no malice in his heart because he was able to ride the Nimbus without any problems. The universe may have suffered from his actions in the past, but never with the intention to harm.
Most importantly, Goku knows when an enemy needs to be eliminated permanently and will not think twice to do it. There's no question that Goku could lift Thor's hammer, however, given his disinterest in utilizing weapons, he might get tired of it.
2. Naruto
Both the purest heroes and the vilest villains in history have been born from a life of pain. Naruto is evidence that misfortune need not necessarily result in villainy. Naruto was adamant to become stronger so that he might one day defend his village despite the neglect, abuse, and persecution he experienced from its residents.
Few anime characters have the same desire to protect people as Naruto, as shown by the numerous foes he has brought back to the light. But Naruto wasn't above killing someone when the situation called for it. Thor's Mjolnir belongs to Naruto, who is well deserving of it and who would benefit much from having it in his confrontations with the Otsutsuki.
3. Ichigo (Bleach)
Fighting for the future of the universe and defending those around him are daily responsibilities for Ichigo. Everyone is aware that, while first appearing a little rough around the edges, Ichigo is always there for his friends when they need him.
He is aware of the value of life but also that some people pose too much of a threat to be allowed to live. Ichigo could likely manage Mjolnir's abilities, although he probably wouldn't want to use the hammer since he prefers to use a sword.
4. Saitama (One Punch Man)
Another good-hearted hero who is occasionally more or less bored whilst motivated by a desire to serve others. Saitama will always be regarded as one of the most admirable and compassionate heroes in the cosmos, no matter what happens to him. Saitama is one of the purest anime characters because he has never intentionally wounded anyone.
Even during his battle with Garou, we have seen him spare a person who had caused him significant suffering. He doesn't mind killing villains who deserve it, but most of the time this happens by mistake. Given that Saitama is not looking to gain more power than he already has, he will likely get bored after lifting Mjolnir, just like Goku did.
5. Izuku Midoriya (My Hero Academia)
Being a hero isn't only about having the strongest will or being the toughest; it can also require having the biggest heart. Izuku Midoriya, one of the most valiant anime characters in history, is living proof of this. Izuku was treated like an outcast for being born Quirkless, but he never lost his drive to serve and save people.
He has often demonstrated both his capacity for bravery and the strength of his desire to defend others. Although he despises having to take another person's life, he will do it to protect innocent lives. Izuku might not believe he deserves such power, but Mjolnir would undoubtedly see him as deserving.
6. Jonathan Joestar ( JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)
One of the most honorable anime characters you'll ever encounter is Jonathan, the first JoJo. Jonathan was brought up to be noble by a powerful but loving father, and he quickly understood the value of morality and justice. Even after all the suffering Dio had brought him throughout his life, he never lost hope.
Although Jonathan did not enjoy the concept of murdering someone, he would do it if there was no other option. There is little doubt that Jonathan can use Mjolnir, given his goodness and commitment to justice.
7. Erza Scarlet (Fairy Tail)
Erza would be the first of the aforementioned anime characters to integrate Mjolnir into her arsenal. Erza, one of Fairy Tail's most prominent mages, serves as an example of virtue and resilience to the other guild members. Even her own life would be willingly given up if she believed it would save someone else.
Erza has been fighting since she was a young girl, and she knows that sometimes killing is required. Erza would bow to using the powers of Thor to defend others after recognizing she was worthy, just as she had been doing before gaining those abilities.
8. Tanjiro Kamado (Demon Slayer)
Tanjiro is not even close to being the best demon slayer in the universe, but he won't let up until he is. However, he has no grand plans for using this power; all he wants is to avenge his family and transform his sister Nezuko back into a human. He always acts in the interest of others, risking his life to ensure the safety of his companions.
Normally, he is a good-natured kid who wants to aid even his foes. Still, everyone has a limit, and no one on Earth can escape Tanjiro's wrath once he reaches his. Without a doubt, Mjolnir would be happy to help Tanjiro in his quest to kill Muzan.
9. Loid Forger (Spy X Family)
Not every Mjolnir wielder needs to be an overpowered cartoon character; anyone can become a true hero with just their own willpower. The best illustration of an ordinary person who can be deserving of this divine gift is Loid Forger. Loid's life's motive is to make the world such that no child would ever have to cry as he did during the war.
He puts in the endless effort and daily puts his life and sanity at stake to bring about world peace. Loid is evidence that having a positive mindset and not only being strong is what makes a hero. He would be accepted without question as Mjolnir's wielder.
10. Gon Freecs (Hunter X Hunter)
Gon is the ideal example of a typical hero since he has an unwavering sense of hope and a truly heroic heart. To defend his world and the people he values most, he is constantly working to get stronger. He is incredibly nice and will assist anyone who is in need, regardless of who they are.
He does, however, have a darker side that he attempts to hide from the public. When he loses control, his inhibitions about murder disappear and he is vicious. Because of this, it seems likely that Mjolnir would select Gon as one of the most deserved anime characters ever.
Final thoughts
Mjolnir is one of the most sought-after weapons in existence, regardless of the universe we are talking about. For many, the temptation of having the majesty of a real god is too overwhelming. The knowledge that only those regarded as true heroes will ever be able to raise the hammer brings about a great sense of relief.
Few anime characters, such as those stated above, would possess the heart of a genuine hero to use such a weapon, even though many would attempt to attain its power. We could be sure that the planet would be guarded by the best heroes if any of the anime characters previously listed ever succeeded Thor.
