Phogat ended the bout in 2 minutes and 24 seconds and won the match by 4-0 via Victory by fall at CWG 2022.

On Saturday 6th August 2022, India's Dahiya Ravi Kumar clinched gold by defeating Nigeria's Ebikewenimo Welson in the 57 kg Wrestling final at Birmingham Commonwealth Games. He entered the final by beating Pakistan's Asad Ali 12-4 in the men's freestyle.
