1. Tell us about your background and journey.
My name is Kushal mistry, I am born and brought up in Ahmedabad, I came from a middle-class family, I studied Bachelor's in Computer engineering, and during college times I found my passion in writing and telling stories, where I discovered content creation, while everyone started doing jobs I stuck to creating content where no money no Fame nothing happening, but after 4-5 years of constant hard work, people appreciated our work and we became leading content creators in Gujarat region.
2. What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?
I got so much of pressure from studies and faculties , to release my mind from it and to get relaxed I created a Instagram page where I used to post my frustration in to sarcastic and humorous way , and it worked well almost 20k people followed me to read those memes and posts , after that I discovered funny videos on Instagram of harsh Beniwal then I watched all Hindi content creator after that I watched English content creators from abroad, Anwar, Adam then I came back to watch that is it happening in Gujarati, and there I found 2-3 creators but I was not satisfied or impressed with the humour and creativity of those content creator then I decided ke I can also do it , not that level of Hindi and English created settled but for sure in Gujarati , after that I started creating videos with my college friends , parth Parmar, Jatin Prajapati, Vijay Gurjar, after that we started in youtube and right now became a top content creators in Gujarat Region , youtube and Instagram and other short video platforms.
3. How would you distinguish the term blogger from influencer?
A blogger usually starts their blog because they have a passion for writing and want to use blogging and their “niche” as the medium to fuel that passion, I started an Instagram page for that reason, I just write my thoughts and On the other hand, an influencer usually starts with a passion for their niche (say fashion, travel, home decor etc.) and or photography and videography, with time I found my love in to creating a story, filming it with a camera, acting and directing and after that editing everything by self-creation, it’s very near to independent filmmaking.
4. Is it financially sustainable to be an influencer today?
Yes, it is financially sustainable, because everything is digital nowadays, but one should not choose this for money or fame, if somebody thinks he or she can do this thing or creating makes them feel good, even if they don’t get money, then they should define choose this field.
5. What do you think influences consumer behaviour?
Every business tries to collect data so that they can make decisions on how they can reach their target audience most efficiently, right now influencers are daily connected with the audience, and followers know all details and everything about their favourite creators and s, and that feels like they know each other, that human behaviour influences consumer.
6. What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?
Never have PLAN B, if I have PLAN B and somehow this PLAN A, doesn’t work then I will move to PLAN B, and when u don't have a PLAN B, u will not have any escape plan, just to make PLAN A work. 7. How can someone become a successful social media influencer?
Learn every day, sharpen your skills, acting, editing, shooting writing anything related to your genre, learn and try to knw things better and have good knowledge and understanding, it will later help to take some instant decisions. Instant creating things in a fraction of seconds, and don’t go behind numbers, follow passion what makes u feel good, do it and the audience is everything make sure u give what they want and balance with what u want to give.
8. Which is your favourite book and why?
The Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, gave me clarity on decision-making, motivated me and gave me so many life lessons.
