Music is an inseparable part of our life. Day-to-day routines and things are led by music. Be it starting your day with singing in the shower, followed by listening to songs while you go to college or the office, or even meditating to relax and calm yourself; music plays a role everywhere.
As said earlier, music gives voice to every emotion in us, be it joy, grief, heartbreak, or confusion. There is a song for everyone. Similarly, music playlists are something very personal and special. Music does not have a single identity as it means different things to different people. Music becomes what the person who is listening to it is.
Along the same lines, there are certain types of playlists that everyone should curate with their personal touch and taste. So, whenever you come across a situation that makes you feel a certain way, you have a set of songs to help you through it or help you enjoy it a bit more.

One feeling that everyone wants to feel to the fullest is happiness. Everything that we do is done to be happy. And a lot of times, music makes us happy. Music makes us want to celebrate and enjoy the moments a little more.
So, curate a playlist of your happy songs; those songs that make you want to cherish the good moments and romanticize your life. These songs can also put you in a better mood when you're feeling down, help you start your day on a high note, and can be a way to celebrate those little achievements that come your way every day.
Pick your happy songs and put them in a bunch, so that you know what to play when you’re happy.
2. The Sad Playlist
This might sound a bit wrong, but having a sad songs playlist is very vital too. Sometimes, when we are going through a tough time, or when we had a hard day, we don’t want to be pushed towards the sunshine and just embrace the negative feelings so that we can cope with them rather than just ignore them.
Sad songs do not mean literal sad songs, they can the songs that you find relatable. We all have a song that we feel is based on our life story, or ‘was made for us’. Those songs don’t make you happy, but they help you cope with whatever you’re feeling. Ups and downs keep coming, so having such a set of songs will keep you ready for those down moments.
You don't have to necessarily name it as a 'sad' playlist, give a little positive touch to this with a name like 'I'm here for you, or 'here when you need me. This playlist is supposed to be your comfort, so name it that way as well.
3. The Dance Playlist
We all have heard certain songs that make it hard for us to stay in one place. The songs that make our body automatically sway, make us tap our feet and rhythmically nod our heads. These songs ignite the rhythm in our bodies and make us get up and dance.
In today's age of desk jobs, workouts and body movements are essential to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Even if you're the one who goes to the gym or who doesn't, having a dance playlist will help you to get up and move your body at some point.
This playlist is a collection of catchy songs, that puts you in a happy and dancing mood. For some, it is the workout playlist. Anyhow, both of them are on the same lines. They are upbeat and peppy, which force your body to move and act as stress relievers.
10-15 minutes of this playlist can improve your mindset for the rest of the day. So, go on and compile the songs that make you want to dance.
4. The Motivational Playlist
An extension of the workout playlist, this playlist acts as the friend who pushes you toward becoming your best self. Certain songs pull us up when we are feeling down, and make us want to leave the bed and create the life we love. Some musicians create such powerful music that tends to drive us towards being our best selves.
If you don't have such songs, refer to other playlists because this is a must. More than any other playlist, this helps one the most these days. Having songs that bring you back to the grind is essential in this age of burnout and overwork.
5. The Focus Playlist
Certain instrumental songs help you focus while you're studying or working. For someone who has a problem focusing on the task at hand, and gets distracted easily, a focus playlist might be the solution for you. Meditative and relaxing sounds are available on various popular platforms, one can easily pick out the ones that work for them and save them for the future.
For example, while writing an essay or a report, it is natural for our mind to get diverted by what is going on around us, which tends to delay our work and reduce our productivity. To cancel out the outer world, music is the best solution. Find the sounds that calm you, as a calm mind is a focused mind.
Also, such a piece of music makes boring tasks easier to complete as you lose the track of time while the music continues to play for a set duration.
