Stages Of Kidney Failure

There Are Five stages:

Stage 1

Standard or high GFR (GFR > 90 ml/min)

Stage 2

Mild CKD ( GFr = 60-89 ml/ min)

Stage 3 A

Moderate CKD ( GFDL 45-59 ml/ min)

Stage 3 B

Moderate CKD ( GDR 30-44 ml/ min)

Stage 4

Severe CKD ( GFR – 15-29 ml/ min)

Stage 5

Causes Of Kidney Failure

  • Low blood pressure
  • Blockage of the urinary tract
  • Certain medications
  • Muscle breakdown
  • Hemolytic uremic syndrome
  • Diabetes
  • High blood pressure
  • Nephrotic syndrome
  • Polycystic kidney disease

Types Of Kidney Failure

  1. Acute kidney failure
  2. Chronic kidney failure

Treatments For Kidney Failure

1. Home remedies

Avoid products with added salt. Lower the amount of sodium you eat each day by avoiding products with added salt, including many convenience foods such as frozen dinners, soups and fast food and oily food.

2. Choose lower-potassium foods

Limit the number of proteins you eat.

Good foods that help repair your kidney include apples, blueberries, fish, spinach, sweet potatoes, bananas, avocados, apricot, and dried fruits such as dates, raisins etc.

3. Treatment of Acute kidney failure

It depends on the underlying course. Treatment of chronic kidney failure may include hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis or a kidney transplant. Hemodialysis uses a machine to filter the blood outside the body.

In peritoneal dialysis, specific fluid is placed into the abdominal cavity and then drained, repeated multiple times per day. Kidney transplantation involves someone else and then taking medication to prevent rejections.
