Himeesh Madaan - The Real Rivalry Is With Our Past. So, Concentrate on Developing and Learning (Entrepreneur From India)

Himeesh Madaan

In 2010, I left my job and started my dot-com venture, earned well and failed well too. Wrapped up my business, went back to the job for the next 2 years. That business was my first introduction to the digital ecosystem, content creation, and internet and became my stepping stone.

1. Tell us more about your company and your journey.

My family experienced tough times in my teens. These hard knocks gave me many lessons and triggered a fire to push my limits.

I was unable to go to college, so I started working after school.

From selling 1 rupee of jaljeera to being a pizza delivery boy, from a travel agency in Jalandhar to an airline in Gurgaon, I started gaining corporate exposure.

After gaining experience of working in MNCs and building my own business, I developed a passion for helping others by sharing what I have learnt over the years.

In 2012, I started inspiring and training others through my videos on YouTube.

Over the years, I have been able to build a family of 8 millions followers across the internet.

I am also invited as a keynote speaker to organisations like Paytm, SBI, IIT, Hero, Tata Motors, ICICI, Castrol, LIC, and many more…

Also authored a life-empowering book—"Be Awesome Live Awesome".

With my venture, IMSuccess, we are strengthening the mindset and skills of corporates and individuals.

Being a coach and entrepreneur, my passion is to simplify growth for others and contribute to the nation by helping individuals turn their potential into peak performance.

2. How did you come up with this idea and go about executing it?

A boy jumped off of a bus just before my car. Fortunately, the chauffeur applied the brakes and the young boy was saved - I once experienced this while travelling to deliver a training.

We discovered a piece of paper on the bus that read, "Maa mujhe maaf kar dena,".

This was my moment of awakening when I realised that although I teach life skills, personal development, and mental growth in large corporations, and institutions, how can I help these guys at a mass level who are falling behind in this cutthroat society?

That day in 2012, I recreated my mission - to impact the lives of such people in our country but did not know how???

While searching for the answer I found YouTube and then I laid a foundation stone on YouTube.

Published my first YouTube video on 21 Nov 2012 and the journey began…

3. How did you find that this career was the right career or calling for you?

This was not a career for me, it was my passion and my inner call to follow. It connected all my dots of struggles, achievements, and aspirations of enabling others.

4. How did you create your 1st video on youtube and 1st reel on Instagram? Tell us more about its journey.

I simply used 2 bulbs of 100 watts, an old camera, hung bedsheets in my bedroom, and recorded my first video. Because I had no clue what else to do to record a video at home.

My father always says, "Tu Kar Yaar". These words were and are with me always.

5. What do you think are the most important qualities of a successful entrepreneur?

In my journey of video influencing, I have observed that the following qualities are needed:

1. Persistence, and learning from mistakes are essential.

2. People skills, as well as communication abilities.

6. What are some of the challenges and roadblocks you have faced along your journey?

No one used to watch videos back in 2012. Smartphones were still in their infancy, and mobile internet connectivity was almost nonexistent in our country.

I used to receive a lot of discouragement from many people around me,

But after swimming in a lot of studies, I had a feeling that videos would ultimately dominate the market and take off.

7. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?

1. Have a very clear why, why do you want to become a creator? What values can you add to people's lives? (Clarify the reasons for being here.)

2. Do not give up too fast.

3. Enjoy being a creator because it allows you to evolve as a person.

8. What are some of the best career advice that you have ever received?

I received two pieces of advice: 1. In business, "U" comes before "I".

2. Value people (clients, team members, audience, etc.)

9. Was there any setback that you later realised was a stepping stone?

In 2010, I left my job and started my dot-com venture, earned well and failed well too.

Wrapped up my business, went back to the job for the next 2 years. That business was my first introduction to the digital ecosystem, content creation, and internet and became my stepping stone.

10. What would you suggest as to how to not give the script of our life to someone else and take full charge of our own life?

Those who blame others, gain nothing and achieve nothing, whereas those who accept full responsibility become achievers in life because possibilities come from responsibilities.

Likewise, people who blame traffic are always late to their destination, while people who take responsibility, become punctual, reach their destination and achieve almost everything in life, even being in the same situation.

11. There is so much pressure and competition these days to be on the top. How to handle this stress and not feel FOMO?

We cannot win and finish a race that has no end. Similarly, if we begin to focus on unrestricted competition, we will constantly feel worried because there will always be other players in the game of growth in your field.

The only solution is progress, growth, and learning—not about winning.

The real rivalry is with our past. So, concentrate on developing and learning.

12. How can we avoid arguments and turn nasty debates into healthy discussions when we know that the other person is wrong?

It is not necessary to disprove the opposing viewpoint.

The success of the relationship is the main goal. Consider other people's points of view, methods, mental processes, and pain points.

Consequently, a decision is healthy. Understanding is necessary before being understood.

13. What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?

1. The idea of success is being in a happy state and spreading happiness.

2. Expand your horizons by learning and exploring new things.

3. Create an impact on others' lives.

Opportunities are very rare these days because of the high rate of spamming existing on the internet right now but when we find those that are legit we should share their good deeds to prevent people from falling victim of spam. I saw someone who made a review about how she met this FX broker, who provide her with the best trading signals and I took the risk. I started with just $2000 to test the system, they help me trade with my deposit and after 7 working days I made a withdrawal of $20,300. I was so amazed with the profit earned, I told Mr Mark Toray I was gonna refer him and his company to a lot of friends, you can contact him for all FX trading needs via his email marktoray8@gmail.com or telegram @mark4toray_fx You will be glad you did it
