5. University of Edinburgh

One of the best universities in the world, the University of Edinburgh was rated 15th in the 2023 QS World University Rankings and has continuously been among the top 50 universities.

The University of Edinburgh, one of the seven ancient universities in Britain and Ireland, was founded in 1583.
