Yashdeep - My Biggest Inspiration Are Always Good Comments From the People and My Friends on My Videos (Digital Creator From India)

On Instagram I started with reels and I started posting a reel like 4-5 times a week and with I had to face tons of challenges like I wasn’t having a good smartphone and laptop to record and edit respectively so I used to wait for my friends smartphone and laptop and I wasn’t having any lights too so I had to wait for the sunlight and managing all this with studies was very difficult. 

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

My story so far from being nothing to being someone who is recognized by some thousands of people was kinda difficult and had a lots of ups and downs. I started my journey as a content creator on Instagram on 13th march, 2021 and it all started by a deep thought. I still remember that one night I was sitting alone in my room and a thought came to my mind that who am I? What different I am doing from millions of people out there that can prove that my existence is worth it.

I am a medical student studying in Georgia but for me that was not enough, I always wanted to become someone that can bring changes into peoples life, I want to become someone that people can look upto say that ooh.. yeah I wanna become like Yashdeep. 

My parents have done a Lot of things for me and our life was always hard and it still is hard tho, no cap but I am managing somehow. Also I want to be the person that my parents can be proud on. So yeah with all these thoughts I started my journey as a content creator and in the starting 9 months I had hardly any growth. I think I just had like 50 new followers and all. 

I was not happy at all with the growth but I always was consistent and dedicated towards my goals. I only had one thought in my mind that "great things never come easy and never comes in 1 day", also hardwork always pays off, it takes time but yeah it always pays off. In my friends circle, everyone used to say that we will start a YT channel we will do this, we will do that, as we were all very inspired by all the YouTubers out there however from the whole circle me and another friend were the only ones to actually take a step towards our success.

2. How and when did you decide that you wanted to go into the field of Technology and be a digital creator?

From childhood I was fascinated by tech stuffs and all because my dad used to have a smartphone shop and that was 1st in the city so from childhood only I was into tech stuffs, tech videos and smartphones. So when reels were blowing up on as I mentioned above one day I thought that I should do something different and I started my YouTube but tbh YouTube is kinda difficult so side by side I started posting on Instagram too and it was my 1 year continuous hardwork that finally after 1 year I started getting some good reach.

3. How did you make a presence on Instagram? What challenges did you face?

On Instagram I started with reels and I started posting a reel like 4-5 times a week and with I had to face tons of challenges like I wasn’t having a good smartphone and laptop to record and edit respectively so I used to wait for my friends smartphone and laptop and I wasn’t having any lights too so I had to wait for the sunlight and managing all this with studies was very difficult. 

I used to feel really bad for disturbing my friends every single day for their stuffs and on top of that I wasn’t gaining any new followers so everything was messed up for a year but then slowly slowly things started to get better.



4. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content while making reels on Instagram?

My biggest inspiration are always good comments from the people and my friends on my videos. Whenever someone comments that my reels help them so that moment is the biggest inspiration for me to keep working hard.



5. What does your typical day look like?

Tbh my day is kinda messed up haha. As such I study abroad so here universities doesn’t have any fixed class timings, I can have my classes at 7am, 7pm, 9pm, etc so I can have my classes during any time of the day. So generally I wake up around 11am then I just do regular grooming stuffs and have a black coffee then lunch around 2pm. then if I have a class or something so I have to go uni or hospital otherwise I record my reel content. 

And after that I just work on my content or I just study in the evening time and have my dinner around 10pm. then after 10pm my real day starts. After 10pm I write scripts, I talk to brands, to people, reply to the comments, think about videos, study for the next day, make a schedule for the next day and tons of other things and finally I sleep around 5am in the morning.

6. What online resources do you use to help you do your work and How do you keep your technology skills up to date? 

Mostly I use YouTube, my comment section, comment section of other great creators and TikTok for content researching and every morning I watch tech news and updates on TikTok and on social medias that keeps me updated with day to day tech news.



7. Did you work on real-time projects? If yes then would you like to tell us about it?

Till now I am not that much fortunate to work on real time projects or something. I still fell that I have lots and lots to learn so that I can work on some real time projects but I will be launching my Instagram growth course soon for beginners and that will help in solving all the questions and queries beginner creators have in mind related to researching the content, their setup, talking to brands, etc etc

8. When you started with your journey and you couldn't see any tangible results what was your biggest source of motivation at that time?

So as I said that for 1 year I didn’t see any growth on my Instagram account. I was just getting 2k-3k reels views everytime but with no new followers so at that time my biggest motivation was my passion and my thoughts because I always thought and still I believe that a) Patience is the key to success, b) Hardwork surely pays off, c) Success cannot be achieved in 1 day. So I used to keep these thoughts in my mind and I kept making content like every single day for a year.



9. In this journey did you experiment and try out new things and take risks? If yes then would you like to share some instances?

Yes I took many risks tbh like I spent my whole 3 years saving around 2 lakh rupees to buy my recording gears and spending this much amount without thinking about the results was like damn scary for me. Then for more than a year I kept my Instagram hidden from my parents and relatives, I had to block everyone and everyday I used to pray that somehow no one should get to know about this otherwise everything will be destroyed.

10. Any book recommendations for tech-savvy people? 

Actually I haven’t read any book till now tbh coz I don’t get enough time in a day. I have studies and Instagram consumes literally so much time I cannot even explain but in future for sure I would love to read some good tech books.
