Imagine you have an exceptional talent but you decided to use your skill to help your friends and family and you succeed in it. But the people you helped did not even remember your name, nor mention your name for the help they got. Instead, they confess that the help they got is from someone else.

The Forgotten Scientist

Yes! This article is intended to honor the man by recounting a few major events in the life of a man whom we have betrayed and continue to betray, and who has spent his entire life striving to achieve something great that will propel his generation forward.

Nothing much, just keep your mobile device or any device on which you are reading the article right now down, take a walk in your home, and get back here. I dare to say that most electric and electronic device you see in your house and use daily is connected to him or invented by him. 

But why we failed to celebrate such a hero, ok forget about celebrating, at least do we remember him?

Thunder and Him

His name is Nikola Tesla, let's start with his birth. It was a night between July 9 and July 10, 1856, when thunders and storms are blasting the sky and tearing people's ears. Women around him when he was born were told that the child was born during a thunderstorm it was a bad sign so this must be a child of darkness.

But the mom that gave birth to the legend replied politely, “of course, my child was born during the storms and thunders but that doesn’t mean he is the child of darkness instead he will be the child that going to give light to those who were all in darkness”. 

And yes, Nikola made his mother’s words true.

Alternating Current

Since his childhood, he was deeply interested in and passionate about electrical and mechanical engineering, he was affected by cholera and after recovering from it he was joined for a diploma.

During one of his professor’s lectures, he was talking about the direct current which was believed as the most efficient current that should be used but Tesla had other ideas.

Tesla’s theory was Alternating current would be more efficient than the direct current but his professor and anyone around him never believed that it could be possible to happen he never lose his confidence and the idea. he just kept on working on a project that could make his theory true. 

Role model or His Villain

Edison was the greatest scientist of that time and also tesla was a huge fan of his until tesla got to know about the true color of Edison. Then tesla joined his lab as an employee and told Edison about the alternating current but Edison didn’t consider his ideas. 

Edison offered to tesla that if he helped him to build a proper engine motor for the direct current then Tesla will receive a huge amount of cash. 

As per Edison's wish, tesla completed the job and handed over it to Edison but Edison did not keep his promise instead he cheated tesla and got the model of the direct current motor without giving the offer money that he should give to tesla.

Tesla understood him and left his office and started to work on his own. 

Because of his low financial status, he worked as a laborer in different construction fields after a lot of struggles he completed his project in Alternating current and made the government and the public focus on his invention. 

This was a huge turning point in the history of Current because people believed Edison’s inventions were the best but now Tesla just changed the whole plot! By this, Edison’s market where decreased, and tesla was on the top.

Man of Electricity

Due to this, Edison claimed that the Current Nikola's invention is very dangerous for human life and could even kill a life he proved it by killing a few animals but killing just an animal will not affect the public right? 

So he got a prisoner who was sentenced to death by the government to his lab and killed him by applying the alternating current to his body. This did not end there, edison took this far and tested it on a huge elephant, unfortunately, the elephant also died.

All this madness was just to win Nikola Tesla. But he doesn’t know Tesla is far more advanced than him. In front of all the safety officers, tesla proved that the alternative current caused no harm to humans if proper safety measures were followed by applying tons of voltages to his own body

This made his AC to the next level and that is the popular current we all use in our day-to-day life. These were just samples of his story, but each invention he had was more interesting and faced heavy opposition in different ways.
