Rohit Raj

On Instagram, I have not made a great presence but I was already present on another video platform, so I applied the experience and things that I learned on my YouTube journey by keeping in mind that, whatever video I am making is worth every second of viewers' time.

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I’m primarily from Hazaribagh, Jharkhand and I am a student as well as a content creator. I started posting videos on YouTube in 2016 and then starting in 2020 on Instagram too. For me, the journey is quite interesting, learning and motivating. I grew up from an introvert to a most engaging and interesting person.

What I learned is that no matter which camera you use or the place you are sitting
If the output is valuable and useful for the people, you will grow very rapidly.
Now I am learning and creating content part-time.

2. How and when did you decide that you wanted to go into the field of Technology and be a digital creator?

I had my first computer when I was 9 yrs old and in 2010 I got access to the internet connection and started exploring the world of technology and web gadgets. I came from a very small town. Here in 2016, the internet was a big thing because people were paying 3g internet prices for 2g internet and I was one of them.

When I joined engineering, Reliance Jio came and people started using high-speed internet on their hands. So in 2016 I also got my very first Jio sim and saw people struggling to get their Jio sim but I knew the process of getting it. So I shared it on YouTube and that first video got 8k views in the next few hours, people started to appreciate me and this motivated me a lot. When you get an initial push nobody can stop you to reach more and more, you will generate momentum on your own.

3. How did you make a presence on Instagram? What challenges did you face?

On Instagram, I have not made a great presence but I was already present on another video platform, so I applied the experience and things that I learned on my YouTube journey by keeping in mind that, whatever video I am making is worth every second of viewers' time.

4. What does your typical day look like?

Most of my time goes into research and bringing up new topics and tips.
I manage all sorts of things myself from having college lessons to shooting to editing to talking with brands. My day ends with evening cycling on the streets of my hometown.

5. What online resources do you use to help you do your work and How do you keep your technology skills up to date?

My best friend is Google for online research and some tech news websites keep me updated all the time.

6. When you started with your journey and you couldn't see any tangible results what was your biggest source of motivation at that time?

On YouTube we see big tech channels with amazing desk setups and expensive camera lighting and all but when I started for the very first time, I was sitting in a messy hostel room with lots of sweat on my face and recording it with an old android tablet front camera.

Huge motivation is my viewers, they leave some lovely heart-touching comments and appreciate my work, which always pumps me up during my bad times. What I learned is that no matter which camera you are using or the place you are sitting, if the output is valuable and useful for the people, you will grow like hell.
