A man cannot get pregnant with a male reproductive system.  But, a transgender man with a uterus and ovaries injected in him can sometimes be pregnant. It is not possible to be pregnant without having a uterus and ovaries. And there is still research going on for the reproduction possibilities of anyone being pregnant.

How Can A Man Be Pregnant?


A man cannot get pregnant until he is transgender in that too sometimes it is impossible. Here we will take the example of Thomas Beatie, the first man to become pregnant in the world. Thomas came out as a transman in early 1997. Later he had gender reassignment surgery in March 2002. He always wanted to become pregnant. He was very fond to become a woman. 

He wanted to change the scenario of pregnancy, and he did it. He became pregnant through artificial insemination in 2007. He was a married man to a beautiful woman Nancy. Thomas choose to become pregnant as his wife Nancy was infertile, and he used the donated sperm to do so. 

He also went through a lot of trouble later as in 2012 he filed for divorce from his wife. Thomas had made a record to get pregnant as a male while he was in a relationship with Nancy.

How Did Thomas Get Pregnant? 

First, Thomas took a treatment of testosterone hormone treatment to conceive a child. But it was a failure as the first conception was an ectopic pregnancy with triplets and their life was in danger. It required surgical intervention and even the loss of the embryo’s fallopian tube. 

He didn’t give gave up, he tried one more time and succeed. He got Pregnant twice, both children without any complications. This is how he became pregnant and the first man to become pregnant in the world.
