The Untold Story of Lanka’s Emperor Ravana

In this current era, we are the generation that has the guts to speak the truth even though the fact may not be accepted by many!  But that doesn’t mean we should be quiet, so here is a truth about a hero that was portrayed as a villain.

The Ramayana We Know:

You might have many options in your mind about whom I am talking about. Just keep your expectations high because the person you're gonna read about is higher than that. Come on! Let's look at the hidden side of a villain.

I guess you all must know the complete Ramayan, even if it is not complete Ramayan at least you must know the outline or summary of it right?

So the outline of the Ramayan is, a god is trying to save his wife from an evil king who has 10 heads with long teeth as you could see on the internet if you search his name. so, by the end of the story, the demon was defeated by a god.

Does Evil Know the Meaning of Evil?

Generally, whom do we call evil? The qualities of evil or a villain are they doing evil things like they kill people hurting others having no mercy being selfish lust full blah blah blah but did all these qualities with that man who claimed as a villain?

The honest answer with no doubt is, “NO”!

Apart from all this, Do people worship a demon, raise a temple, and follow him as a role model? Are those people mad? Definitely Not, because they know the truth! They know who the real hero is!

The Place We Need to Know:

Many tribes In India are still worshipping Ravanan.

Approximately 1000km from Tamilnadu, in Maharashtra we could find around 30+  temples which are completely made up of a single Blackstone just by dicking and engraving with the help of hammers and nails. Among those 30+ temples, there is a temple named Kailayanadhar.

This Kailayanadhar temple has a  complete story of Ramayana and Mahabharata as a sculpture that is completely made up of stones around it. Such a massive temple has thousands of sculptures and hundreds of chambers inside it. After crossing many chambers You could find a specific sculpture that is around 20 feet in height.

That is the statue of lord shiva and Parvathii sitting together on the top of the mountain with angels sitting around them which looks too divine. But it is not about what I wanted to say, before the lord shiva’s sculpture if you bow your head down you could see a man with fire in his eyes and with a massive body structure holding the complete mountain with his body!

Ravana Eashwaran:

I hope now you got to know about whom you are reading about! The great and greatest devotee of lord shiva among all other existing creatures, the man that got the name Eashwar as a prize, the man who made his kingdom the best among any other, the man that made his people love him unconditionally even after his death.

The man who kept his kingdom and his people wealthy and healthy all the way! The man who needs to be celebrated by us, the king that needs to be praised by us, The soul that we need to learn from! Yes, his name is Lankathypathy who is popularly known as Raavan.

The History We Don’t Know:

We blindly believe that he is ten-headed and a demon but you know why he is popularly being believed as a 10 headed demon. Here is the actual reason, let me tell you one by one.

As same as his one of his ancestors Maliyavan, Ravana also captured and ruled 10 different kingdoms so he owns 10 crowns, by this he was also called “Dhasagreedan” this is also one of the reasons for Ravana is portrayed as a 10-headed demon. More than this.

he was also an expert in 10 different skills dance, singing, music, art, medicine, astrology, politics, architecture, war, and cooking. But it's so cruel to accept that people misunderstood a legend.

The Qualities of Ravana:

Even at the end of the war with Raman, Ravan wasn’t defeated directly its all only because of the treachery of Ravana’s brother by saying Ravana’s war technique to Rama. Even at the stage of his death, he preached to his opponent’s brother about life and the way that we should live.

I believe that it is not too far for people to understand the real side of Ravan. Even during the war, Ravana admired the fighting skill and the braveness of his opponent ram. Is there any better warrior who could have the heart to praise his opponent’s strength?

Since Ravana’s brother became a traitor and told Ram about the pooja that Ravana doing to win the war, Ravana’s sister was kidnapped by Ram's crew. Even though Ravana knew that he will definitely die if he stop his pooja in between, but still He stopped the pooja and stood for his sister. Is there any better man than ready to lose his life to save his sister’s life

Even though he already knew that his death arrived very near, he still chose to fight in the war and never stepped back from the field! Is there any better warrior or a king that never bows his head before his opponent?

Final Shot:

This article doesn’t mean that only the Ravan is good. But to make people aware of Raavan's real side, the true side of Ravan. He might not be a hero but never a villain.
