1. Tell us more about what you do and what led you to speak on this platform.
As a storyteller and sustainable branding entrepreneur, I am passionate about creating meaningful connections between people and brands through the power of storytelling. I believe that a well-crafted story has the ability to capture the hearts and minds of audiences, inspire action, and promote positive change.
With a background in marketing and a deep appreciation for sustainability, I have made it my mission to help businesses communicate their values, purpose, and impact in a way that resonates with their customers and contributes to a more sustainable future.
By combining my storytelling skills with my expertise in sustainable branding, I aim to help businesses build authentic and purpose-driven brands that make a positive impact on people and the planet through ZorSpeaker.
Through my work, I strive to inspire and empower others to make a difference in their communities and the world at large. Whether through a compelling brand narrative or an impactful sustainability campaign, I believe we all have the power to use our skills and talents to create a better future for ourselves and future generations.
2. How do you choose and prepare for a talk?
Every time that I prepare for a talk I make sure that I have a list of notes. I usually start by giving an introduction of myself and then ultimately talking about the pointers of the topic. For example, Let's say I have to talk about how storytelling can help an individual or a business.
I will always start with the meaning of storytelling for an individual and the meaning of storytelling for a business and then I will go on to give effective pointers on the same. depending on the talk length, I might also choose to give a few extra pointers to the audience.
3. How can one become a public speaker?
It is not very easy or tough to become a public speaker. The first thing that you need to do is start speaking. Yeah, it's as simple as that. In order to become a public speaker first you need to know how to have a conversation.
In storytelling, we use the strategy of customizing or creating a story according to the audience. In order to understand the audience, it is very important to talk to them privately first. so if you have the confidence to talk in private you just need to magnify it to speak to a larger audience. Speaking to a larger audience can be difficult at first, but if you start with three people in the room and then keep gradually increasing the number of people, the chances of improvement are higher.
So don't wait till you get up on stage, start practicing your public speaking anywhere that you are in a cafe in a book store, or in your home. Just start with a regular conversation!
4. Can motivational speaking become a full-time career?
I am not the right person to answer this as I am not a motivational speaker. However, there are many personalities who are, and yes, it can definitely be a full-time career.
5. Which is your favorite talk ever and how did it change your life?
I personally have loved a lot of talks that I have watched over the years. However, some talks remain at the top of my list. I do encourage people to listen to motivational speakers but it's not viable to always keep listening to motivational speakers. It is really important that people listen to various kinds of people so that they not only build their speaking capacity but also their knowledge regarding specific subjects.
My favorite talk ever is the one by Priyanka Chopra
6. What are the best public speaking tips that have worked for you?
My favorite public speaking tips are:
Always make notes, no matter what. And keep them in cue cards
Always rehearse in front of a mirror
Remember to write your own script so that you can be comfortable in your own language
Always wear comfortable clothing so you can feel your best
7. What impact do you want to make in the world?
I want to be a storyteller that tells important stories and builds authentic voices that need to be heard. Through my venture, ZorSpeaker, I plan to educate the masses about the power of storytelling and how to use it.
It’s a ripple effect - more stories inspire more people to create their own stories and hence live their lives to the fullest.
8. Which is your favorite book and why?
My favorite book is The Alchemist. I think it's an amazing book, a beautiful story!. Paulo Coelho's storytelling ability is truly remarkable, and the way he weaves together themes of destiny, purpose, and personal growth is both thought-provoking and inspiring.
One of the things I love most about "The Alchemist" is how it encourages readers to follow their dreams and pursue their passions, even in the face of adversity. The story of Santiago, the shepherd boy who embarks on a journey to fulfill his personal legend, is a testament to the power of determination and the importance of staying true to oneself.
Another aspect of the book that I find particularly compelling is its emphasis on the interconnectedness of all things. Throughout the story, Santiago learns that everything in the universe is connected and that we all have a part to play in the grand scheme of things. This message of unity and interconnectedness is especially relevant in today's world, where we are facing global challenges that require us to work together for the greater good.
