About The Director - Qiu Zhongwei

About The Series 

Tong Yao, the first official female esports player in the professional league, uses her skills to join the national squad. Tong Yao makes two promises: to atone for the Chinese League of Legends and to never be in a relationship with someone in the same profession.

The majority of people criticized her for choosing to become a female professional gamer. K did not greet her warmly when she first saw her colleagues. Tong Yao perseveres and never gives up in the face of obstacles and uncertainties with the help of her comrades.

Her parents, especially her mother, were initially against it, but when they unexpectedly showed up at the base camp, they changed their minds. However, not everyone is in the same circumstance. K, a friend of Tong Yao's, parents didn't back him in whatever he wanted to pursue, including esports. For the sake of his older brother, all they wanted was his money. 

She engaged in several games and disproved everyone. Her abilities and strategies were effective in getting others to quiet up.

Over time, her and K's relationship also gets better. She encountered criticism from the team's fans for falling in love with the team's captain and for not being a good match for lu si cheng. However, the criticism persisted and proved everybody incorrect. 

One of her promises to avoid dating someone in the same profession was shown to be ineffective. She had previously suffered from the split and it was due to her ex-boyfriend, who had the same career. However, she was able to achieve her second commitment and make amends for the Chinese League of Legends by helping them win the national title. She attracted a variety of suitors during the entire series, and they stuck with her.

The entire series is centered on the global esports phenomenon. The only female gamer chosen to be the first woman to compete in esports is Tong Yao. The entire series is built on esports ”onmyoji arena”, including the games, competitions, news, and other elements.

The male protagonist Lu Si Cheng and the female lead Tong Yao have several passionate exchanges throughout the series. The series is made more intriguing by their adorable moments and boasting.

Personal Verdict

Various turns and twists, beautiful and romantic moments, and nostalgic moments are mixed together in the series. The package is relatively large. I appreciate the moment when the female lead's best friend was always by her side, never abandoned her in any manner, and they both trusted one another while keeping their eyes closed. 

Despite the existence of a love triangle, Tong Yao and Lu Si Cheng never allowed it to affect their union. Her relationship with her ex-boyfriend, Tong Yao was very well-cleared. Tong Yao had Lu Si Cheng at his side at all times. 

Both relationships and friendships depend on trust; whether a person wants a connection or not is up to him. I thoroughly loved the series and gave it at least three full viewings. It is worthwhile to watch.
