1. Please tell us something about your early days & career story.

During my early days, I had a strong interest in new technology and a natural inclination toward entrepreneurship. While studying at IIT Ropar, I collaborated with Arink Verma (studying at IIT Ropar), who would later become the co-founder of GreedyGame. Together, we initiated a project called Enactus, which aimed to develop sustainable business models outside of our community. However, as we delved deeper into this idea, we realized its limitations in terms of scalability. Around the same time, we noticed the immense popularity of mobile gaming and how users would go to great lengths to avoid disruptive pop-up ads. Some even resorted to disconnecting their internet connections just to continue playing without interruption. 

This observation sparked an idea within us - what if we could take a content-driven approach to in-game advertising and prioritize user experience? And thus, GreedyGame was born in October 2013. That same year, we were selected as one of the Top 10 startups for the TLabs accelerator program in New Delhi, marking the beginning of our journey. Recognizing the potential of our offerings, we expanded our services beyond gaming apps to encompass apps of all categories, and later, we even extended our reach to websites as well.


2. Congratulations on GreedyGame's impressive growth rate of 2x and 100 percent! Could you share some insights into the key factors that have contributed to this remarkable growth?

Thank you for the congratulations! We are truly excited about GreedyGame's impressive growth rate of 2x and achieving 100 percent growth in the last few years. Our success can be attributed to several key factors:

  • User-Driven Approach: From the very beginning, we recognized the importance of putting users first. By adopting a user-driven approach to mobile advertising, we were able to provide more engaging and non-intrusive experiences for gamers and app users. This approach resonated well with our target audience and helped us gain a competitive edge.
  • Diversification of Offerings: While we started with gaming ads and native advertising, we quickly realized the need to diversify our offerings to cater to the evolving demands of the adtech industry. We expanded our product portfolio to include innovative ad formats and solutions, allowing us to serve a wider range of clients and industries.
  • Agility and Adaptability: The adtech industry is constantly evolving, with new trends and technologies emerging regularly. We have been proactive in embracing these changes and adapting our strategies accordingly. By staying ahead of the curve, we were able to provide our clients with the latest and most effective advertising solutions.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Collaborating with industry leaders such as Google, InMobi, and Pubmatic has been instrumental in our growth. 3.  As GreedyGame expands its operations globally, what is the company's plan for hiring Indian talent in new workplaces such as the USA and Singapore? How do you envision leveraging the Indian talent pool in these locations?

As GreedyGame expands globally, the company has specific plans for hiring Indian talent in new workplaces such as the USA and Singapore. These plans are rooted in the recognition of the unique advantages that Indian talent brings to the table.

In the United States, GreedyGame has already established an office in 2021 and has witnessed encouraging traction from there. While the team in the US is currently small, the company is actively expanding its presence and operations. As for Singapore and other Southeast Asian countries, GreedyGame has recruited consultants to drive its growth in these regions.

To leverage the Indian talent pool in new locations, GreedyGame is actively seeking partnerships that can provide a strong local presence. These partnerships allow the company to hire individuals who possess valuable insights into the local markets, enabling GreedyGame to navigate and succeed in those regions effectively.

4.  In 2022, GreedyGame achieved an Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) of 17.5 million. What are your expectations for the company's ARR in the upcoming fiscal year of 2023-24? What strategies or initiatives are in place to drive this growth?

For the upcoming fiscal year of 2023-24, we have high expectations for GreedyGame's growth. While specific revenue projections are not available, our focus will primarily be on expanding the number of publishers and apps we work with. This approach will contribute to the overall growth of the company.

To drive this growth, we have implemented several strategies and initiatives. First and foremost, we will continue to enhance our existing features and products to better support publishers in their monetization and user acquisition efforts. By continuously improving our offerings, we aim to attract more publishers and advertisers to partner with us.

In addition, we are actively pursuing global expansion. Our goal is to establish a strong presence in international markets and build a robust adtech platform that caters to the evolving needs of clients in the ever-changing digital advertising landscape. By tapping into new markets, we believe we can unlock significant growth opportunities.

Furthermore, we understand the importance of providing exceptional customer service. To ensure customer satisfaction, we are committed to maintaining an efficient and effective customer support system. This system will promptly address any concerns or issues faced by our users, allowing us to build strong, long-term relationships with our partners.

Considering these strategies and initiatives, we are confident in our ability to achieve substantial growth in ARR for the upcoming fiscal year. While we do not have specific figures at this time, we are optimistic about the future of GreedyGame and the value we can deliver to our partners.


5. Can you shed some light on GreedyGame's expansion plans for the near future? Are there any specific regions or markets that the company is targeting for expansion, and what are the underlying reasons behind these choices?

GreedyGame is currently in the midst of an expansion phase, with a focus on the United States as the main target market. However, the company also has plans to expand further into other Southeast Asian countries. This decision is based on the positive traction GreedyGame has already experienced in countries such as the US, UK, Singapore, Indonesia, Morocco, Egypt, Thailand, UAE, etc.

As part of the expansion strategy, GreedyGame aims to strengthen its team by recruiting passionate and talented individuals who share the company's vision of innovation and excellence. Creating a culture that fosters creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning is also a priority for GreedyGame.

In addition to team expansion, GreedyGame aims to develop tools for publishers that enhance user experience and allow them to focus on their websites and apps. To achieve this, the company will invest in research and development to create new ad formats, data-driven insights, and targeting techniques. GreedyGame has established long-term and dedicated collaborations with several prominent demand partners, including Google, InMobi, PubMatic, Magnite, Smartyads, smaato, affle, mCanvas, mobavenue, and more. By partnering with these demand partners, GreedyGame has been able to amplify the inventory yield for publishers by tapping into additional demand sources.

On the client side, GreedyGame has formed partnerships with renowned publishers such as Truecaller, gameloft, NDTV, Appyhigh, doubtnut, ht, Reliance Games, Jagran Group, Vodafone India, and others. These partnerships demonstrate our consistent delivery of expected results and our ability to help publishers generate revenue. By working together, we empower publishers to focus on their content and other vital aspects of their businesses while we assist them in growing their revenue streams.

The core objective of GreedyGame's partnerships is to foster collaborative relationships with publishers, enabling them to thrive and monetize effectively. GreedyGame’s business model is aimed at assisting app and website developers or publishers in monetizing their content and acquiring relevant users, thereby, creating user-friendly apps and websites. The company generates its revenue through a revenue-sharing model, aligning its interests with those of its clients and ensuring a mutually beneficial partnership.

One of the unique aspects that set GreedyGame apart from competitors in the market is its integrated programmatic advertising platform called 'PubScale.'
