Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro and José Diniz Aveiro welcomed Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro into the world on February 5, 1985, in Madeira, Portugal. Hugo, Cristiano's older brother, and Elma and Liliana Cátia, his older sisters, are his siblings. His father, who was motivated by former US President Ronald Reagan, gave him the name.
It was also on the island of Madeira where Cristiano initially developed his footballing prowess. He started out as a local player for Nacional, and by the time he was 12 years old, he had established himself as one of Madeira's greatest players. He didn't take long to begin attracting the interest of other significant Portuguese teams.
Benfica was one of Sporting, a team that Cristiano and his father supported when they were young. The desire for her son was to play with players like Figo, thus he ultimately decided to play for Sporting, a team his mother loved and supported growing up.
At the age of sixteen, he was then discovered by former Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier, but Liverpool had no plans to recruit him at the time since they believed he was still too young and needed more time to hone his abilities.

As the first Portuguese player ever for Manchester United, Ronaldo. Because he didn't think he could live up to the expectations of earlier players who wore the number 7 shirt, such as George Best and David Beckham, he first asked for the number 28 as his jersey number.
For the celebrity, the years from 2006 to 2008 were fairly contentious. Regarding his sportsmanship at the 2006 World Cup, Cristiano was criticized. He received harsh criticism for leaving out his club teammate Wayne Rooney, who was competing for the England side, in a quarterfinal game against that nation. Soon after, Cristiano's supporters began to accept him once more.
He received the PFA Young Player of the Year award, PFA Player of the Year award, PFA Fans' Player of the Year award, Portuguese Footballer of the Year award, FWA Footballer of the Year award, Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award, and Manchester United Players' Player of the Year award in 2007.

He ultimately made the decision to remain at Manchester United and made it clear to the public that he had no plans to leave the team.
