Years back into the 11th century Guido d'Arezzo, an Italian man created these notes which changed the history of music. His contribution towards music has made it possible for us to learn and create music. These 7 notes have evolved over the years but still, the individual properties of these notes remain the same. The importance and value of each note are undeniable. These notes are regarded as the base of music without which the creation of music is no doubt a difficult task to achieve.
These notes are called the diatonic scale. With time these notes evolved and got categorized into minor and major scales. These major and minor scales are used to play songs of different genres.

The essence of these notes in music is incredible and is undeniably the base of each genre of music. Be it classical or Western these notes are used for composing a song or a tune. In the classical world of music, they are regarded as Sargam which consists of sa, re, ga, ma, pa, dha, and ni as the 7 notes while in Western music, these 7 notes are do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, ti.

The Incredible 7 Notes
These 7 notes are called the diatonic scale or major scale which is the foundation of Western music and has the formula of W-W-W-W-W-H. By using these notes and the formula one can play many songs of this world.
The first note of this diatonic scale is C(Do) which is the starting point of the diatonic scale which is used for establishing the musical key and carries stability. The second note is D (Re) which introduces a sense of motion and progression. The next note is E(Mi) contributing a bright and uplifting quality to the scale.
The fourth note is F(Fa) which introduces a touch of tension and anticipation. the next note is G(Sol) known for its stability and strength in the diatonic scale. The second last note is A(La) contributes a sense of depth and emotion. The last note, seventh note B(Ti) adds a sense of closure to musical phrases. These are the roles of each note of the diatonic scale.
