Hasnain Waris- It’s Time To Improve Our Lives Than Just Chase Lifestyle (Spiritual Trainer and Author From India)

Branding is what I’m trained to do as a professional. Spiritual Coaching, planning retreats, and educational trips are what I do as a passion. My books are just extensions of my spiritual coaching work.

1. Can you briefly share how you became a Spiritual Coach, Brand Communication Professional, and Author, and what keeps you motivated in these roles?

Spiritual Coach (2017 Onwards):I come from a Sufi background. I find it easy to understand and explain the complexities of spiritual concepts.

Brand Communication Professional (1999-): I’m a storyteller and simplifier. Worked with agencies like DDB Mudra, Publici, etc., on brands like HP, Nestle, ABN AMRO Bank, AVIVA Life Insurance, Big Bazaar, Network 18, Philips, Ericcson, to name a few. Working as a communication consultant and advisor with NGOs.

Author (Since 2020): "S for Sufi" is my first book with Hay House India/UK/USA. My second book, "God; Your Free Wi-Fi connection," is self-published, where I’ve tried to simplify the spiritual quest for contemporary seekers.

2. How do you balance your roles in spirituality, branding, and writing, and do they complement each other in any way?

Branding is what I’m trained to do as a professional. Spiritual Coaching, planning retreats, and educational trips are what I do as a passion. My books are just extensions of my spiritual coaching work. The former helps me run my kitchen; the latter keeps me going.

3. What's the key message in your book "God, Your Free Wi-Fi Connection" that readers should take away?

‘Our well-being is more psychology than physiology dependent.’ It’s time to improve our lives than just chase lifestyle.

4. Can you share your favorite book and how it has impacted your spiritual journey and writing?

‘The Sufis’ by Idries Shah and Amar Chitra Katha collection of Ramakrishna Mission.

5. Share a moment in your spiritual journey that inspired you to guide others through transformation.

There are a lot of them. Since early childhood, I’ve been watching people of all faiths struggle with rituals, with no substantial improvement coming by in them, as a person. Basically, I found them ‘looking for the right thing at the wrong places’ and resolved to help them by changing their orientation. I find the results very encouraging, especially among the young seekers.

6. Have any spiritual or literary figures inspired your work and beliefs, and if so, how?

My guru Roshan Shah, my firsthand experience of a saint as a child. The other names who inspired me are Kabir, Rumi, Idries Shah, etc.

7. If you could coach any historical or fictional character, who would it be and why? What wisdom do you think you could offer them?

Given a chance, I would love to coach Alexander and save the world from so much bloodshed by helping him find the peace within.

BIO:

‘Brands to Brahm’ is how Hasnain Waris likes to describe his story. After 15
years of working in the glitzy and creative world of advertising and searching
for fulfillment, he managed to ‘find himself’ while working on the biography of his guru, Hazrat Roshan Shah Warsi.

Hasnain’s spiritual journey started when his mother placed him in the lap of his
guru and requested him to bless Hasnain with a name. He grew up like any other child in a metropolitan city with the only difference being that he was as
comfortable in a mosque as he was in a Satsang – even at the age of 7.

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Hasnain got many opportunities to spend
some memorable summer vacations in his guru’s presence. In 2013, Hasnain decided to quit his full-time job and dedicate his second innings to people development and spreading the message of ‘Conscious Living’. He conducts talks and organizes workshops and retreats under the banner ‘The Self Seekers’ to help people gain clarity about their true selves.

He is a certified Spiritual Coach, Life Coach, NLP, EFT, and professional. He works with corporates as a performance consultant and with individuals as a personal coach.
