Throughout the course of history, mankind has paved its way for existence in a rather formidable pattern, trying to shape and paint a way of living they find suitable on a humongous scale.

Certain inevitabilities are impossible to avoid while in the process of reshaping the working of literal species, so, some perished yet some thrived and flourished and made a mark for themselves in their said era.
While some argue that the elites who establish and assert their dominance are in the wrong for sucking away the already minimal power that an average working man holds, it is clearly noticeable that change is what drives growth and so-called “evolution”. Or does it?
Well, it is regarded as planting the seed for the upcoming generations. But, the downside of this is also something to worry about. In the current world, volatility is what feeds growth and wealth in reference to its capitalistic nature.
At the same time, resistance to change is also at its peak, which in itself is a massive change. So, is the world on the brink of lunacy and degeneracy, or is it just phasing as it has been doing since humanity’s inception?
Too Much Acceptance?
The masses have become relatively more considerate towards each other’s desires and wants. This is very evidently portrayed in the way people behave with one another. The West is a prime example of leniency, thrusting out the word ‘acceptance’ like never before.
Although, too much jeopardization of this word is making its meaning ill. Everyone, living like an outlaw, is on a quest to break free from the rubble of mediocrity and condition.
The statement ‘You can be anything you want’ has taken an ugly turn in certain parts of the world. Fortunately, India still has a long way to go to take that turn, as a matter of fact, it seems to be necessary for Indians to let loose and explore parts and potentials hidden inside them.
While some are thriving, many are falling into the pits of desperation, depression, and whatnot. That has more to do with the fact that the world is turning extremely capitalistic, where ‘weakness’ cannot be tolerated.
Introverts are stuffing themselves inside their shells, while extroverts are deeming themselves more capable and climbing the ladder.
Competency diminishes, while competition scales up. This contrasting situation will be troublesome in some shape or form. Because of the system, it is paramount to condition oneself to be presented as useful for the smooth functioning of the economy, which, in actuality, is far from smooth.
Well, this might sound dreadful, as a sort of surrenderance is being asked of us. One isn't entitled to live a constrained life with the pen of the same in the hands of the so-called ‘system’. In the ultimatum, this poses the question of existential dilemma.
Cultural Spike Or Dim?
Traditional practices, norms, customs, and so on are considered a way of living. We see people dedicate their whole lives to a belief that they comprehend to be true. Such rigidity has somewhat made them banish anyone who believes otherwise, and it makes sense because culture is used as a catalyst to hold onto something that gives it meaning.
It is no doubt that culture as a whole has been on a constant descent. Dogmas are being abolished in the name of modernity, severing the very discipline created by it.
Westerners have gone to an extent that is still oblivious to countries like India. Countries like the US and Canada are in a ‘Gender crisis’, through which they render dogmatic and religious ideologies wrong, and vice-versa. It has turned into a never-ending conflict between the contrasting sides.
India is also on the verge of slowly inclining towards the same; in fact, religious matters are the most heated battles fought here. Unethical agendas are being imposed and enforced on civilians, forceful conversions in terms of not just religion but also politics. The birthing of extremism forges.
Maybe the existence of different cultures is the causality of conflict, as restrained minds breed catastrophe more than harmony.
Capitalistic Conditioning Or Other Alternatives?
It would be hard to delve too deeply into the concept of capitalism here, so here is a brief: it is basically an economic system in which the sole motive is earning a profit, and this is done through private ownership.
A boiling topic as it seems, this welcomes immensely contradictory views. This form of societal system demands sweat and blood for the growth of businesses. While it has proven to be efficient, the downsides are impossible to ignore. People are falling into insanity due to the sheer amount of workload.
Whereas, a liberal society is believed to be the go-to by some. A major downside to this is that it happens to be a hindrance to growth. The overachievers are pulled down to being clouded by mediocrity.
Another question is derived from this: Is growth really necessary?
Invisible Plague
Mental health and physical health are at their worst ever. Over-exposure to immaterial things is a draining factor for degrading health. Lifestyle and work-style changes are creating degenerates who adversely affect themselves as well as society.
Although healthcare is on an ascent, it doesn’t seem to cater to mental well-being somehow. This has more to do with the self-destructive mindset of today’s generation.
Like a plague, almost everyone is affected. Is it too minute to be observed or too prominent to do something about?
Utopia Or Dystopia?
Utopia is what everyone dreams of, but dystopia is what prevails. The quest to attain utopia breeds dystopia. Nothing can ever be super idealistic nor can it be totally woeful. People change with every passing century, to stamp them wrong or unworthy of existence would do no justice just for a selected few prosperity.
Inconsistencies are bound to be prevalent everywhere, as derailment to a certain degree is inevitable. Rather than focusing on the apocalyptic scenarios, focus on embracing the euphoria that already exists to realize the ever-present utopia.
Helping people realize their purpose in living and preventing them from slipping into the realm of agony can do wonders. After all, one life is all one has.
