Synopsis
Omkara "Omi" Shukla (Ajay Devgn) is a member of a gang that commits political crimes for local politician Tiwari Bhaisaab (Naseeruddin Shah). Ishwar "Langda" Tyagi (Saif Ali Khan) and Keshav "Kesu Firangi" Upadhyay (Vivek Oberoi) are his closest associates.
Langda interrupts a wedding procession and challenges Rajju (Deepak Dobriyal), the groom, to prevent Omkara from abducting the bride, Dolly Mishra (Kareena Kapoor). Rajju fails, and the wedding never occurs.
The plot centers on Omkara Shukla (Omi), a local political enforcer and gang leader in the small town of Bhaisaabpur. Omi is deeply in love with Dolly Mishra, the daughter of a local politician, and they decide to marry despite her father's wishes. However, their love is opposed not only by Dolly's father but also by Omi's close associate and confidant, Langda Tyagi.

About the Movie
Advocate Raghunath Mishra has arranged for his daughter Dolly to marry Rajan, although Dolly is in love with Omkara Shukla. Before the wedding, the groom's party is attacked, flees, and Dolly is allegedly kidnapped.
Raghunath can trace Dolly to Omkara, a criminal and hitman, a verbal altercation ensues until Politician Bhaisaab intervenes telephonically, and a disheartened Raghunath realizes that Dolly was not abducted but is here with Omkara of her own free will.
He warns Omkara before departing. Shortly after that, Bhaisaab is shot and wounded and announces that Omkara should run in the next election. As a result, Omkara appoints one of his lieutenants, Keshav Upadhyay, as the 'Bahubali'.
Omkara realizes he may have made a mistake in appointing Keshav to succeed him because Keshav is unable to control his temper while under the influence of alcohol, which puts him in Omkara's bad books.
Omkara suspects Keshav is having an affair with Dolly, as the two were former classmates. With Omkara's marriage to Dolly approaching, he orders his other lieutenant, Ishwar Tyagi, to obtain proof of Keshav's affair with Dolly or face the consequences, as Omkara recalls Raghunath's warning that if a daughter is not true to her father, she will never be true to anyone.
