1. Tell us about your background and journey.
I grew up as a very shy kid, reading books and listening to the music that was constantly playing in our home. My parents told me about God and Jesus, and taught me to sing and play music. I watched them make an album praising God. I started seeking the answers for myself and once fasted for 40 days to find God.
In that period I found a real relationship with God through Jesus Christ , who died for my sins and rose from the dead. God showed me that this was going to be a relationship where He didn't expect me to just be a good girl but that He would personally help me as His child throughout my life. It was then that I gave my life fully to Him and to sing for Him as well.
2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you start?
As an introvert, it was very hard for me to go places and talk out loud. Jesus says we must share His good news of peace with God through what He's done - with everyone. I was fascinated by music videos and vlogs on YouTube. After a lot of prayer and gathering up courage from God I decided this was a great opportunity for me to use in the comfort of my own home.
So I learned how to talk in public by making videos in private haha! It started very roughly with some of the knowledge I'd gathered from my communication studies degree, lots of YouTube tutorials and ofcourse constant divine intervention.
3. What impact do you want to make in the world?
Everything I do will fade away in time, so the only thing I want to do is to share the potentially permanent impact Jesus can have in the lives of those who choose to believe and receive Him. He said that whoever repents of sin and believes in Him will not die, but live forever with God in peace and joy. Personally, He has saved me from myself and from death multiple times.
My family and I have been changed and healed from countless sicknesses, and we are in the business of seeing His transformation in the lives of friends who believe in Him as well. People heavily burdened with depression, anxiety, worry, suicidal tendencies, hatred, and anger are being healed and changed into calm sanity, inner satisfaction, and finding true purpose and meaning for their lives in Jesus.
4. How can people practice mindfulness?
The only type of mindfulness I know about is to be mindful of God and of others rather than ourselves. This is the most difficult as it goes against the grain of our human nature. But if a person chooses by themselves to look at Jesus, everything negative and chaotic fades away. We will see things from a greater and true perspective, uncolored by our own understanding or bias.
Strangely, when one does this, they can find their truest selves in their Maker, God, the Father of Jesus. Just as in any relationship where its success depends on being mindful of each other, in this too as long as we are mindful of the Living God and of Jesus, He will guide us to do the right thing and to be always surrounded and overflowing with light.
5. What does your typical day look like?
I start the day by connecting with my Maker and reading the Bible. The truths I learn from there help me the rest of the day. Then, I help out our Church, friends, and those searching for truth. Along the way, I write down ideas for more content, film, and edit when possible. When something touches me deeply I make it a song - usually by writing lyrics to the music of my guitar and recording it into my phone. In the evening my family and I meet to sing worship to God, chat about His word, and pray.
Some evenings we host events for our Church or have events in public. At night I talk to God again (this happens throughout the day but I mean here it happens more dedicatedly and privately), and when needed I sort out the things of the day with Him, gaining His perspective, especially on difficult matters. This brings peace where I can sleep along to the lullabies of worship to God.
6. Which is your favorite book and why?
Definitely the Bible. I've read hundreds of books but this is the one that is not just printed words on paper. It's alive. It has the power to transform because it's the word of God. If anyone believes and follows it, they will see what I'm talking about. I've read it all my life and have always seen how it is truth that nothing can contradict. It holds up in any circumstance. My favorite person, Jesus, is also nicknamed the word of God. I have personally experienced how reading the Bible is like knowing a friend and a Savior. Highly recommend it!
