"Starting from scratch with just an Android phone taught me resilience and turned my passion into a serious pursuit"

1. Can you share a bit about your journey before content creation?

I began my journey in 2020, balancing my B.COM studies with part-time gigs in promotions and waitressing to support my family financially. It was a hectic time, but I managed to save up enough to buy a new phone. Then COVID-19 hit, and everything changed with lockdowns. With plenty of time on my hands, I started creating content on a whim to pass the time. Initially, I made self-portrait reels purely for fun, but they quickly gained traction. The positive feedback and growing viewership fueled my passion for content creation, turning a pastime into a serious pursuit. That's how I found my path into content creation.

2. What were some of the biggest challenges you faced during your early days as a content creator, and how did you overcome them?

I started from scratch, clueless about content creation. All I had was my Android phone—no tripod, no fancy gear. I'd prop it up on cardboard boxes, chairs—whatever I could find. Lockdown meant everything was closed, so I had to improvise with whatever was lying around at home. Mom's sarees became backdrops, and random household items turned into props. I did it all solo—clicking pics, shooting videos, handling every tiny detail myself. No equipment, just pure hustle. Those early days were a grind, but they taught me resilience.

3. What advice would you give to someone who is just starting out in the world of social media influencing?

It’s totally cool to start from scratch, armed with just your phone. . Do what feels natural and comfortable for you—just go for it! Don't overthink it or worry about what others might think. Focus on expressing your creativity without stressing about the outcomes. That's my advice for anyone diving into the world of social media influencing—just dive in and own it!

4. As someone who started working at a young age, how do you think your early work experiences have influenced your work ethic and approach to content creation?

Starting out young, I had no one guiding me on what's right or wrong. Uncertain if my chosen path was correct, I took the leap anyway—it was my call. It got confusing and frustrating, feeling like I was messing up left and right. But then I learned to trust the process. Through it all, I discovered the importance of not giving up on myself. I learned to give my all in everything I do, knowing that outcomes aren't always within my control. Sometimes, things won't go as planned, but pushing forward guarantees progress.

5. How do you keep your content fresh and engaging for your audience? Do you have a specific strategy or process you follow?

I'm all about keeping my content fresh, so I carve out time to brainstorm new ideas. Engaging with my audience helps me understand what they dig. I'm into Instagram trends, but I make sure to add my own personal spin to keep it real.

6. If you could collaborate with any other influencer or brand, who would it be and why?

I would absolutely love to collaborate with Selena Gomez and her brand 'Rare Beauty'. I've followed her journey closely and really look up to her. Working with her beauty brand would be a dream come true for me. I'm confident it's going to happen someday—I'm putting that out into the universe!
