"Authenticity builds trust, and trust is key in this industry"
1. What sparked your journey into acting and influencing?
Growing up in Siliguri, Darjeeling, I was always fascinated by the vibrant world of Bollywood. I spent hours watching movies and TV shows, mesmerized by the art of storytelling and performance. This passion drove me to pursue a career in acting, and I made the bold move to Mumbai in 2022 to chase my dreams. I began with TV serials and commercials and soon discovered the power of social media in connecting with a larger audience. This led me to explore influencing as a way to share my journey and build a community.
2. How do you keep your content fresh and engaging for your audience?
Keeping content fresh is a constant challenge, but I've found a few strategies that work for me. First, I stay attuned to current trends and popular topics, so I can create content that's relevant and timely. I also experiment with different formats, like videos, photos, and stories, to keep things interesting. Collaboration is another key aspect – I love working with other creators and influencers to bring new perspectives and ideas to my content. Finally, I make sure to engage with my audience regularly, so I can understand what resonates with them and tailor my content accordingly.
3. How do you balance personal authenticity with audience expectations?
Balancing authenticity and audience expectations is a delicate art, but it's crucial for building trust and credibility with my audience. For me, it's about staying true to my values and personality, while also being mindful of what my audience enjoys. I'm transparent and open with my followers, which helps me stay accountable and ensure that my content aligns with my personal brand. I've learned that authenticity is key to building a loyal community, and it's worth taking the time to get it right.
4. What's your approach to preparing for a role versus creating social content?
Preparing for a role is a deeply immersive process for me. I dive into research, analysis, and character development, often immersing myself in different experiences and emotions to get into the right mindset. Creating social content, on the other hand, is more spontaneous and reflective of my real-life personality. While both require creativity, they differ in terms of scope and intention. Acting allows me to explore different characters and stories, while social content is more about sharing my personal journey and connecting with my audience.
5. What mental health practices do you recommend in the entertainment industry?
Mental health is a vital aspect of our well-being, especially in the entertainment industry where pressure and stress can be high. Personally, I recommend practices like regular exercise, meditation, and maintaining a strong support network of friends and family. Taking time for self-care and setting boundaries between work and personal life are also crucial. By prioritizing mental health, we can perform at our best and maintain a positive, resilient mindset.
6. If you could choose a superpower to aid your career, what would it be?
If I could choose a superpower, it would be the ability to understand and speak any language fluently. This would allow me to connect with a broader audience globally, take on diverse roles, and enrich my acting career and influence. Imagine being able to communicate with anyone, anywhere, without any barriers – it's a powerful thought!
