1. Can you introduce yourself and share what inspired you to become a fashion and lifestyle influencer?
Hi, I’m Vishaka Nirmalkar, a Fashion, Beauty, and Lifestyle Influencer from Nashik. I’ve been following my passion for blogging for over six years now. I hold a Master’s degree in Mass Media and Journalism and have worked with prestigious media houses like Times of India and Lokmat Times. I also served as the Media and Marketing Head at INIFD Nashik for eight years.
My love for fashion has always inspired me to pursue this path. I’ve had a deep interest in clothing, accessories, and personal style. With the rise of social media, this passion became a real career opportunity. Through hard work and self-love, I embraced my uniqueness and took the leap to become a full-time influencer.
2. With a background in media and journalism, how has your experience with renowned media houses influenced your approach to content creation?
Interestingly, despite my professional experience in media, I haven’t received much support from the same outlets in my hometown, Nashik. Some media houses I’ve worked closely with haven’t covered my work, for reasons unknown. However, this has taught me a valuable lesson. While my efforts may not always be recognized locally, I’ve found greater exposure and professional growth in larger cities like Mumbai. This experience has taught me to rely on my work and its reach rather than waiting for validation from familiar places.
3. How do you balance creativity with the business side of being an influencer, especially when working with top brands like Myntra, Nykaa, and Lakme?
I enjoy every aspect of my job, especially the creative process behind content creation and brand promotion. I make sure to infuse my personal touch into branded content while keeping the brand’s guidelines in mind. However, it’s also essential to balance creativity with the business side, adhering to the expectations of the brands I work with. After all, it’s important to meet business objectives while maintaining authenticity.
4. Can you share a memorable collaboration or project that had a significant impact on your career?
All of my collaborations are memorable, but some stand out as milestones. One of the biggest highlights of my career was my first photoshoot with Karan Kundrra, a celebrity I’ve admired for a long time. Working with brands like Curly Tales, Nykaa, Urbanic, and Myntra has also been incredibly rewarding. These experiences have allowed me to turn my dreams into reality.
5. What advice would you give to aspiring influencers?
The most crucial advice is to practice self-love. Always love and embrace yourself. Nurture your inner self, and remember that self-love is empowering. Beyond that, develop social skills, enhance your emotional intelligence, and most importantly, stay authentic. Don’t pretend to be someone you’re not. Only endorse products you genuinely use or believe in. Being relatable and grounded is not a weakness—it’s a strength that can help build a loyal following.
6. Can you share any upcoming projects or collaborations that you're excited about?
I’ve learned over the years not to disclose details of projects before they happen, but I can assure you that I have some exciting and larger projects in the pipeline. Keep an eye on my page for updates soon!

A fun fact about me: I have an irrational fear of rats! They absolutely terrify me!
