Tanushree Talukder - My Goal Is To Stay fit And Inspire Others (Fitness Enthusiast, 154k Followers)

"Fitness is part of my daily routine, just like brushing my teeth or going to work. The key is making time for yourself—if you want to feel good, sleep better, and be happy with what you see in the mirror, you have to commit."

1. Can you tell us about your journey into the world of fitness? What inspired you to pursue this career?

From a young age, I’ve always been into sports—running, basketball, cricket. I was inspired by seeing disciplined athletes who maintain their lifestyle, and I wanted that for myself. In class 11, I faced serious health issues related to my pancreas, which required me to focus on getting fit. At first, even simple activities like walking upstairs would leave me breathless. But over time, I transformed myself, and the progress I saw in the mirror motivated me to keep going. Fitness and powerlifting have been major accomplishments for me, and I’m proud to balance my work, family, and gym life seamlessly.

2. How would you describe your fitness philosophy? What core principles guide your training and lifestyle?

Fitness is part of my daily routine, just like brushing my teeth or going to work. The key is making time for yourself—if you want to feel good, sleep better, and be happy with what you see in the mirror, you have to commit. I used to think fitness meant being slim and eating only green vegetables, but I’ve learned it’s more about balance and what makes you feel strong and healthy.

3. What does a typical day look like for you in terms of training, diet, and relaxation?

I wake up around 6:00–6:30 am and head to work as a teacher. After returning home by 4:30 pm, I give tuitions from 5:30 to 8 pm. Then, I go to the gym and usually finish around 10 pm. My weekdays are busy, but I make sure Sundays are for rest and recovery.

4. What advice would you give to someone just starting their fitness journey?

Be determined. There will be days when you feel lazy or don’t want to work out, but those are the days you need to push yourself the most. Go to the gym, hit a tough workout, and you'll feel amazing afterward. And for women who worry about lifting heavy weights—lifting will make you look toned and beautiful, not bulky. It’s also important to remember that you don’t need supplements if you’re getting enough protein from your meals. Consistency is key.

5. What are your future goals and aspirations in the fitness industry?

My goal is to stay fit and inspire others around me to do the same. I believe being fit is more important than anything else—it’s about maintaining both internal and external health. I want to help people understand the difference between eating clean and eating junk, and to take care of themselves in every way possible.

6. How has your journey in fitness contributed to your personal growth and self-discovery?

Fitness has given me immense confidence and strength. It has helped me discover my potential, and knowing that people rely on me gives me a sense of responsibility and pride. The journey has been about more than physical strength—it has been a path of self-discovery, and I’m grateful to my trainer for helping me get to this level.

7. If you could have a workout session with any celebrity or athlete, who would it be and why?

I would love to work out with Chris Bumstead (CBum). I have huge respect for him—he’s a five-time Mr. Olympia and has an incredible mindset. His ability to balance work, fitness, and family makes him an inspiration to me. He’s the only fitness influencer I follow, and his positive attitude and work ethic are truly motivating.
