1. What initially drew you to acting, and how do you approach diverse characters?
My childhood was less of playing with toys and more of watching movies with my dad. He also made me watch plays when I was just 6-7 years old. And I used to only have my food if a movie was played on the tv or a play. Since then only I have always told people that I will become and actor only. When it comes to chacharacter I observe people a alot. Sometimes I don’t even listen to them but I read the body language and write it down in my notes if I find it useful for characters that I wanna play and or make videos on!
2. How have the challenges and rewards of acting evolved for you?
Challenges have made me stronger and rewards have me grounded. But now I am looking for more rewards now ( more projects as an actor) hahah.
3. How do you prepare for a role and dive into a new character's psyche?
Firstly, I read a script many times. What ever the reading material is needed I go through it.
Then I start thinking like how the character would think. Ya thats it, no technical stuff. Acting should be less technical and be done with ease.
4. What shifts in storytelling or production excite you in today's industry?
I think the short form content, I dont know if it excites me in a good or bad way. But I have fun creating some nice videos on instagram. There are pros and cons both. Earlier art form was taken more seriously I feel, nowadays its very easy and low effort. Let’s see what more changes are gonna happen!
5. How has acting influenced your personal growth or worldview?
Because of acting projects, I have met some amazing and intelligent humans. Have hung out and travelled with such amazing teams that the exchange of life experiences have been a wonderful learning experience for me. Perspectives have changed. Now I think, there’s so much to achieve and to gain as an actor. Dreams have become bigger.
6. If you could swap roles with any character for a day, who would it be and why?
None, I am happy with the character that I am. But okay, if I have to answer this I would say kangana ranaut’s character in queen! I dont have explanation for this, I just love it.
