"When I hit the lowest slumps of my journey, I ask myself, ‘Would Virat Kohli give up?’ That thought alone gets me back on track."
1. How did your journey from Switzerland to becoming a sneaker content creator unfold?
My journey into content creation began during the COVID-19 pandemic when everyone was experimenting and finding comfort in their own skin while staying indoors. It was the perfect time to explore creativity without worrying about external judgment.
When I moved to Switzerland for my post-graduation, balancing content creation with student life became challenging. I enjoyed my time as a student and only occasionally created content for music campaigns. However, my love for sneakers and streetwear gradually took center stage, sparking my passion for sneaker content.
2. What inspired you to focus on sneakers as your niche?
I started as a streetwear content creator, aiming to build my own brand. While researching streetwear, I realized that sneakers are an integral part of every outfit. After getting my first Jordans, my styling shifted to revolve around sneakers. Instead of them being secondary, sneakers became the focal point of my looks, and I knew I had found my niche.
3. How do you balance individuality while working with brands like Adidas and Nike?
Brands like Nike and Adidas value individuality, which is why they collaborate with creators like me. Even when participating in large campaigns, they encourage us to infuse our personality into the content. While they require the product features to be highlighted, they push us to showcase our uniqueness through our style, voice, and creativity.
4. How do you balance individuality while working with brands like Adidas and Nike?
Nike and Adidas value individuality, which is why they collaborate with creators like me. Even in campaigns featuring multiple sneakerheads, they encourage us to showcase our unique style and personality in our reels. From the way we speak to how we shoot and edit our content, each creator brings something distinct to the table.
The primary requirement from these brands is to highlight the product features accurately while ensuring the content is of the highest quality. They don’t limit our creativity; instead, they push us to deliver our best. So far, my experience with Nike and Adidas has been seamless and highly rewarding.
5. What’s your advice for those aspiring to start content creation in the sneaker niche?
Begin with research and focus on building your knowledge about sneakers. Share your journey from day one—it makes your content relatable and authentic. Start with low-budget options that resonate with most people and gradually expand your collection. Authenticity and consistency are key to standing out in the crowded content creation space.
6. How does your work reflect sneaker culture’s connection to art, music, or sports?
Sneaker culture blends seamlessly with art through the way outfits are styled—they’re like wearable art pieces. Early in my journey, I focused on creating bold and intricate looks, though now my style has become simpler with a touch of accessorizing.
While I haven’t fully explored connecting sneakers with music or sports in my content, it’s something I’m eager to dive into. My sneaker content currently stands apart from my cricket-related posts. When I talk about sneakers, I’m confident and knowledgeable—an expert in the field. In contrast, cricket is something I’m still learning about, approaching it as a passionate student.
7. Has Virat Kohli influenced your journey or mindset as a creator?
Absolutely! Virat Kohli has been my biggest inspiration since 2016. During the toughest phases of my journey, I ask myself, “Would Virat give up?” That question alone pushes me to get up, work out, eat healthily, and give my best.
His performances on the field directly impact my mindset—I become more disciplined and motivated when he excels. Beyond his professional drive, Virat and Anushka’s relationship has also set a benchmark for me. It’s a reminder not to lower my standards, whether in life or relationships.
8. What’s your advice for those wanting to start content creation in a niche like sneakers?
If you’re starting in the sneaker niche, research is critical. Learn from other creators and immerse yourself in the culture. Early on, focus on accessible options—most people are looking for stylish sneakers that don’t break the bank.
Document your journey from the very beginning. Show your audience where you started, how you’re growing, and what you aim to achieve. Authenticity and relatability will help you connect with viewers and stand out in the growing sneaker community.
9. If you could design your dream sneaker, what would it look like, and who would you want to wear it first?
My dream sneaker would definitely feature purple, as it’s my favorite color. While I haven’t finalized the design in my mind, I know it would blend elegance with comfort. As for who I’d want to see wearing it first—without a doubt, Virat Kohli. That would be the ultimate honor and a surreal moment for me.
