"Leaving behind a 9-to-5 job, I turned my love for fashion and travel into a full-time passion—merging creativity and exploration like never before."

1. Can you share a bit about yourself and how your journey as a digital creator and model began?

I’m Jyoti Bhujel, from the small town of Jalpaiguri in West Bengal. Becoming a model or digital creator wasn’t part of my plan. After college, I moved to Bangalore in 2017 to work as an HR professional. In 2019, I started sharing daily pictures on Instagram, which unexpectedly led to collaborations with photographers and brands. My passion for fashion and makeup, which began during school, slowly grew into a full-fledged career. The lockdown was a turning point—I received multiple projects from fashion, travel, and lifestyle brands, which allowed me to leave my 9-to-5 job and focus entirely on content creation.

2. What inspires your content creation, and how do you ensure it remains fresh and engaging?

Everyday life, current trends, and my love for fashion, makeup, and travel inspire me. Exploring new places brings fresh perspectives that I incorporate into my work. For instance, I enjoy blending local culture and landscapes into my content, whether it’s a styled look against a scenic backdrop or discovering travel-friendly fashion. Staying authentic and relatable is crucial—I listen to my audience and make sure my content reflects my personality.

3. Could you share a memorable achievement in your career that holds a special place for you?

One standout moment was my first major campaign with a leading fashion brand after the lockdown—it felt surreal to see my work recognized on such a platform. Another unforgettable experience was collaborating with a travel brand, which allowed me to merge my love for exploration and content creation. Traveling to a beautiful destination for work was a dream come true, something I could never have imagined while working a corporate job.

4. What advice would you give aspiring digital creators and models trying to make their mark?

Consistency and authenticity are key. Love what you do, and let your passion shine through. Engage with your audience and never stop learning. Showcase your interests—be it fashion, travel, or something unique. Your individuality will set you apart. It’s important to be patient, work hard, and step out of your comfort zone to explore new opportunities.

5. How do you see digital content creation evolving, and where do you envision yourself in the future?

Digital content is becoming more immersive with advancements like AI, AR, and interactive elements. Travel and lifestyle content are also leaning towards experiential storytelling. I envision myself continuing to merge fashion and travel to inspire a global audience. My goal is to collaborate with diverse brands, create meaningful content, and explore destinations that resonate with my followers—all while staying true to my roots.

6. What’s one fun fact about you that your followers might not know?

I’m a little moody and often forget where I’ve kept things! My mind is always busy planning my next outfit, shoot, or travel itinerary, which explains a lot.
