Dommaraju Gukesh was born on 29 May 2006 in Chennai, India. His father
Rajinikanth, an ENT surgeon and mother Padmavathi is a microbiologist.
At an age when most teenagers are worried about college applications,
relationships and obviously the social media, D. Gukesh was busy making
history. On December 2024, at just the age of 18years, Gukesh become the
youngest undisputed World Chess champion, leaving the chess world in awe.

But in this genZ generation, everyone wants to live apart from their family due
to work and the individual productivity but this is good for some and bad for
others. According to my perspective, staying away from family and working
decrease individual productivity, which reduce job satisfactions due to
seprations.
We have the inspirational biopics of Mary kom, MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar and one and only D. Gukesh which not only teaches us about sacrifice and dedications they made in their life, but also the importance of family support.
Gukesh’s talent for chess become apparent when he won his first
tournament, the Chennai district under-7 championship, in 2012. This victory
marked the beginning of Gukesh’s successful chess carrer.
In 2013, Gukesh won the Tamil Nadu State Under-7 Championship, and in
2014, he become the Under-8 Champion. These early success earned Gukesh
recognition and encouragement from his parents, coaches and chess community.

Gukesh’s breakthrough year was 2015, when he won the Asian School
Chess Championships in the Under-9 Category. This victory marked Gukesh’s entry

In 2016, Gukesh become the Indian Under-10 Champion, and in 2017, he
won the Asian Youth Chess Championships in the Under-12 Category. Gukesh
impressive performance earned his the title of International master in March
2017.
