"I’m grateful for every opportunity that has come my way, and the journey so far has been nothing short of incredible."
Q. It’s great to be part of popular shows like Pavitra Rishta 2.0 and Naagin. How has your journey in the television industry been so far?
Being a part of Pavitra Rishta 2.0 was an amazing experience, especially because I got to share the screen with Ankita Lokhande. Since I knew her from before, our chemistry translated well on screen, making the outcome even better. Naagin, on the other hand, was a completely different challenge for me since I had never played a negative role before. But with the right approach and an incredible co-star like Nia Sharma, everything fell into place beautifully. I’m grateful for every opportunity that has come my way, and the journey so far has been nothing short of incredible.
Q. How did you get your first big break in acting, and what inspired you to pursue this career?
My first break came with Sadda Haq on Channel V, where I played a grey-shaded character. However, the real turning point in my career was Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, one of the biggest shows of all time. This show gave me immense popularity, and the bond I shared with my co-actors felt like family. I was part of it for three years until the very end, and even today, my Saathiya co-stars remain close friends.
As for my inspiration, I’ve always been a huge fan of Salman Khan. Watching his movies in my childhood sparked my passion for acting, and he has influenced me in many ways. That’s how my journey in this industry truly began.
Q. You also featured in the song Ishq Tumse Dobara Ho Gaya. How was the experience of working on a music video compared to acting in TV shows?
Shifting from daily soaps to a music video was a refreshing experience. Ishq Tumse Dobara Ho Gaya was my first music album, and every moment on set was truly special for me. Unlike TV shows, where you develop a character over time, a music video requires you to express emotions instantly and powerfully within a few minutes. It was a fun and fulfilling challenge, and I will always cherish that experience in my heart.
Q. Every role comes with its own set of challenges. Which character has been the most challenging for you to portray, and why?
Every role brings its own challenges, but one of the most difficult ones for me was in the horror show Laal Ishq. It required a dark, intense performance, which was completely different from my positive character in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya. Switching between these contrasting roles wasn’t easy, but I kept my spirits high and believed in myself—“Ho jayega, don’t worry!” That mindset helped me deliver one of my finest performances, and the appreciation I received from my friends and family made it all worth it.
Q. What has been the most memorable moment in your acting career so far?
One of the most special moments in my career was when I met Salman Khan sir for the first time at Film City. I had just finished my shoot when I got the chance to visit another set where Sasural Simar Ka was being filmed. That’s when Sonam Kapoor ma’am introduced me to Salman sir, saying, “He was in Neerja with me.” To my surprise, Salman sir stood up, acknowledged me, and said, “Keep it up.” That moment is something I will always cherish. It was truly a dream come true for me.
Q. What’s next for you? Can we expect to see you in any upcoming projects soon?
Yes, I’m currently working on something exciting, and I can’t wait to share more details soon. Apart from that, I have a few music videos lined up, and I’m looking forward to exploring more diverse roles in the future. Stay tuned—there’s a lot more coming!
