Laveena Sengar – Fashion Is More Than Style; It’s A Story Waiting To Be Told (Content Creator, 237K+ Followers)

"Fashion isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s an extension of character, emotion, and movement. With #DirectorialPiece, I wanted to merge cinematic storytelling with the artistry of fashion, creating immersive experiences that feel both personal and cinematic."

1. From writing and direction to fashion and lifestyle—how did your journey unfold?

It all started with my love for storytelling. I’ve always had ideas and concepts in mind, and direction became my way of bringing those stories to life. At the same time, I’ve always been passionate about fashion and how it can convey narratives just as powerfully. Blending these two worlds felt natural—it allowed me to explore storytelling beyond traditional formats. This journey has been an evolution, and honestly, I feel like I’m just getting started. There’s so much more I want to create and discover.

2. #DirectorialPiece merges fashion with cinematic storytelling. What inspired this concept?

For me, storytelling is at the core of everything I do. Fashion isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s an extension of character, emotion, and movement. With #DirectorialPiece, I wanted to merge cinematic storytelling with the artistry of fashion, using visuals, sound, and even voiceovers to bring narratives to life. It’s about creating immersive experiences that feel both personal and cinematic.

3. How do you use audiovisual elements to enhance your narratives?

I see visuals and sound as my palette—they shape the mood, emotion, and impact of a story. Lighting, camera angles, and sound design all play a role in setting the tone. Even a subtle sound effect can shift how a scene feels. I’m constantly experimenting, learning, and refining my approach to make each piece as immersive as possible.

4. What’s the biggest challenge in blending film direction with content creation?

Time and resources. In film, you have a crew, structured timelines, and a dedicated production process. With digital content, it’s often just me, and the turnaround time is much shorter. But I love the challenge—it pushes me to be resourceful and create something impactful with whatever I have. It’s about making magic within constraints.

5. How does your experience in film influence your approach to fashion and lifestyle storytelling?

Being on film sets has been an invaluable learning experience. It’s taught me how to construct narratives visually, guide attention through framing, and evoke emotion through imagery. Before I begin any project, I ask myself, What’s the story here? What do I want the audience to feel? Then, I use every creative tool at my disposal—shots, lighting, sound—to bring that vision to life. I aim to make every video feel like a miniature film.

6. You’ve worked with major brands like Pond’s, MyGlamm, and Adamis. How do you ensure your creative voice stays strong in brand collaborations?

Authenticity is key. I believe in working with brands that align with my creative vision and values. Open communication is essential—I make sure to have discussions about creative direction to ensure that my voice remains strong while also fulfilling the brand’s objectives. Ultimately, I strive to create content that both I and the brand can be proud of.

7. As Adamis’ Cover Girl for two consecutive years, what does this milestone mean to you?

It’s a validation of the creative risks I take and an encouragement to keep pushing boundaries. It reminds me to continuously find new ways to express myself and bring something fresh to the table.

8. If you could direct a short film about any fashion era, which one would it be and why?

Definitely the 1960s. It was a time of cultural revolution, and fashion played a huge role in that transformation. The silhouettes, the colors, the rebellion—it was all so bold and expressive. I’d love to capture that energy and tell a story that reflects the spirit of the era.
