"Passion isn’t a limited resource—it fuels itself. Chess sharpens my mind, dance keeps me expressive, and fashion sparks my creativity. Why choose one when you can master them all?"
1. What’s your earliest memory of realizing you had a competitive streak—was it in chess, dance, or something totally unexpected?
I think my competitive streak showed up early, and chess was the first place where I really felt it. I remember my first tournament—it was just a local event, but to me, it felt like the world championship. Every move mattered, every opponent was a puzzle to solve, and the adrenaline rush of winning was unforgettable. But it wasn’t just about the trophy—it was about proving to myself that I could strategize, adapt, and turn the game around in tough positions.
That same drive followed me into dance. Mastering every move, pushing myself beyond limits, and standing out on stage—it all came from the same place. Whether on a chessboard or a dance floor, I’ve always been wired to chase excellence.
2. If we asked 10-year-old Sunidhi what she wanted to be when she grew up, would her answer match your life now?
Ten-year-old me would be both thrilled and surprised. Back then, I was completely focused on chess—I dreamed of becoming an international player, traveling for tournaments, and making a name in the chess world. I never imagined dance and fashion would become such a big part of my identity too.
But life has a way of introducing us to passions we never saw coming. While I did achieve my dream of becoming an international chess player, I also discovered the joy of dance, the creativity of fashion, and the power of expression through my YouTube channel. So, in a way, my childhood dream came true—but it also expanded in ways I never expected.
3. From local tournaments to championship titles, which victory felt the most surreal, like a true “pinch me” moment?
Winning my first international chess title was a moment I’ll never forget. I had poured countless hours into preparation—studying openings, refining my middle-game strategies, and mentally training for every possible challenge.
When I finally won, standing on that podium and hearing my name announced, it felt like everything had come full circle. I could see my entire journey flashing before my eyes—early morning practice sessions, late-night study marathons, and all the sacrifices along the way. It wasn’t just about the victory; it was validation that all the hard work had truly paid off. That moment gave me the confidence to aim even higher, knowing my dreams were within reach.
4. What’s the craziest thing you’ve done in pursuit of your passion that most people don’t know about?
One of the craziest things was balancing school exams with a tournament schedule. I remember one day when I finished an exam, rushed home to pack, and barely made it to the train station in time. I was still mentally reviewing my exam answers as I boarded the train, but the moment I sat down, I had to switch to chess mode—analyzing openings, preparing for my next opponent.
Most people don’t realize how much mental discipline it takes to juggle academics and competitive sports. But for me, the thrill of pursuing my passions always outweighed the challenges.
5. Fast forward five years: will we see you as a Grandmaster, a fashion mogul, or a viral dance sensation? Or something completely unexpected?
Why choose just one? If I’ve learned anything from my journey so far, it’s that life is full of unexpected turns, and I love embracing them all.
In five years, I definitely see myself competing at the highest level in chess—maybe even earning the Grandmaster title. But I also want to take my love for fashion to new heights, possibly launching my own brand that blends elegance with creativity. And dance? That will always be a part of me. Whether through performances, social media, or something even bigger, I know I’ll keep expressing myself through movement.
My goal is to build a life where I don’t have to choose between passions—I want to keep breaking barriers and proving that you can excel in multiple fields if you truly love them.
6. If you could add one superpower to your skill set—whether in chess, dance, or fashion—what would it be and why?
Teleportation, hands down! The biggest challenge I face is managing my time between different passions. Imagine finishing a chess tournament in one country and instantly teleporting to a dance event halfway across the world—no stress, no travel fatigue, just pure focus on the next challenge.
It would let me experience and excel in everything I love without ever having to sacrifice one for the other. Plus, teleportation would be the ultimate time-management hack for my crazy schedules!
7. What’s one myth about being a multi-talented achiever that you’d love to bust once and for all?
The biggest myth? That you can’t give 100% to multiple things at once. People often assume that if you’re involved in different fields, you must be compromising on one of them. But I completely disagree.
Passion isn’t a limited resource—it fuels itself. When you truly love something, you find ways to make it work, no matter how demanding it is. Chess sharpens my mind, dance keeps me expressive and energized, and fashion allows me to explore creativity in a unique way. Instead of thinking of passions as competing interests, I see them as different pieces of the same puzzle that make me who I am.
